Tennessee Titans wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine managed three catches for 37 yards in a 20-13 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. On the bright side, Westbrook-Ikhine was thrown to six times-;good enough to be tied for second-most on his team and his personal best since Week 13. While it was one of his best performances over the last month, it wasn't much to write home about as the Titans wideout's struggles continue. His consistently disappointing showings lately have diminished his fantasy value harshly, and heading into the season finale against Houston, Westbrook-Ikhine will struggle to find his way into managers' lineups.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine had two receptions for 17 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-30 loss against the Indianapolis Colts. The situation with Westbrook-Ikhine is getting increasingly complicated, as it previously seemed that when he could find the end zone, he was a very promising fantasy option. His six-yard touchdown reception was the first time he has found the end zone since Week 13. It also took a while for him to get involved, with his score coming midway through the fourth quarter. Currently, no Tennessee wideout is a reliable start for fantasy playoffs, but Westbrook-Ikhine, in particular, should be downgraded as an option solely for deeper leagues in the future. The 27-year-old is a boom-or-bust FLEX in a plus matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17.
According to Turron Davenport of ESPN, wide receivers Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (ankle) and Tyler Boyd (foot) both returned to practice on Friday. This is a great sign for their status heading into the weekend as both were listed as non-participants during the first two practices of the week. Fantasy managers should monitor Friday's final injury report as both wideouts may carry an injury designation into the weekend given their non-participation earlier in the week. After tallying eight touchdown in eight games during Weeks 6 through 13, Westbrook-Ikhine has brought in just three passes over his past two games. Boyd has tallied at least 35 yards in three of his past four games while operating as the clear No.3 option. If one of the wideouts were to sit out, Calvin Ridley would see a significant uptick in targets.
According to Terry McCormick of the Titans Insider, wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (ankle) did not practice for the second straight day on Thursday afternoon. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to his status during Friday's session, as he could be in danger of missing Sunday's game. After finding the end zone eight times during Weeks 6 through 13 (eight games), Westbrook has just brought in three passes over his previous two games. Last weekend, Westbrook-Ikhine caught two passes for nine yards and did not show any injury concern during the game. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status, as he would open up more opportunities for Tyler Boyd if he were to sit out. No.1 wide receiver Calvin Ridley would see the most significant target increase in his absence and could be a viable high-floor flex option facing the Indianapolis Colts.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine scored two more touchdowns and finished with 61 yards on a team-high eight targets on Sunday in a 42-19 loss to the Washington Commanders. He continues to find the end zone at an amazing rate and has eight touchdowns on the season while posting just 20 catches. NWI has only caught more than three passes in one game all year but has found the end zone in seven of his last eight contests. He's clearly become the Titans' second receiver after the trade of DeAndre Hopkins and his growing target share is a good sign for him coming into a very favorable stretch of matchups. Westbrook-Ikhine is a strong WR3 with WR2 upside in Week 13 against the Jaguars if he continues to make such regular trips to the end zone
