Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford carried the ball 10 times for 37 yards and caught three of his four targets for 33 yards in a 21-15 loss to the New York Giants in Week 3. Ford wound up leading the Browns in carries and rushing yards while finishing second on the team in receiving in the close loss. Meanwhile, teammate D'Onta Foreman only saw two carries for five yards in the contest. The Cleveland backfield has been tough to predict through three weeks with Ford leading the way in Weeks 1 and 3 while D'Onta Foreman took the majority of the workload in Week 2. Ford will remain involved, especially in the passing game, heading into a road matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4.
Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford saw D'Onta Foreman steal away a large chunk of his workload in a Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. After Ford saw all but two running back carries in Week 1, Foreman out-carried him 14 to seven last week. The Browns will now welcome the New York Giants to Cleveland in Week 3. The Giants have struggled this season and the game script could favor Foreman, who presumably would be on the field for the majority of the second half if the Browns can build a lead and go into clock-killing mode. Ford still can do damage in the passing game but he settles in as an RB3 due to volume concerns in Week 3.
Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford carried the ball seven times for 64 yards and caught one pass for no gain in an 18-13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2. Ford ripped off a 36-yard run on fourth-and-one in the second quarter, setting the Browns up for a 38-yard field goal. Besides that big play, however, Ford was quiet as he lost work to D'Onta Foreman (14 carries) and Pierre Strong Jr. (two touches). Foreman's usage is a concerning development for fantasy managers rostering Ford after he handled all but four of the running-back touches back in Week 1. Ford is looking like more of an RB3/flex option heading into Week 3 against the New York Giants.
Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford turned in a solid outing in a Week 1 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, catching six passes for 25 yards and rushing for 44 yards and a touchdown. He will look to keep it going in a Week 2 road matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jacksonville allowed the 13th-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs in 2023 and allowed De'Von Achane to run for a touchdown while catching seven passes for 76 yards in Week 1 this season. Ford saw all but four running-back touches last week and should be in for another heavy workload against the Jags, leaving him as a solid RB2 in PPR leagues this weekend.
Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford carried the ball 12 times for 44 yards and a touchdown while adding six catches for 25 yards in a 33-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. Ford's final stat line will be useful in fantasy, but the third-year back benefitted greatly from garbage time. Most of his production in the passing game came after the game was out of hand and his two-yard touchdown run came with the Browns down 23 points with just 29 seconds left on the clock. On the bright side, Ford saw most of the backfield touches for Cleveland, which should continue for as long as Nick Chubb (knee) is on the PUP list. Treat Ford as an RB2 in PPR fantasy leagues going forward.
