Eagles Sign DeVonta Smith To Three-Year Extension

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith has agreed to a three-year $75 million contract extension that includes $51 million in guaranteed money. The organization also picked up his fifth-year option, so he is now under contract through the 2028 NFL season. Despite playing alongside All-Pro wideout A.J. Brown, Smith has been spectacular since entering the league in 2021. The former Heisman Trophy winner has racked up 240 receptions for 3,178 yards and 19 touchdowns through his first three pro campaigns. Smith is just 25 years old, so he should be in the thick of his prime through the duration of his new contract. He remains a WR2 in fantasy football moving forward.

DeVonta Smith Discussing Contract Extension

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith appears to be in the process of discussing a contract extension with the organization. The Eagles have already handed out two big extensions this offseason, so Smith could be next in line. The 25-year-old is entering his fourth season in the league after being drafted in the first-round by the Eagles in 2021. Smith has produced back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns. He has established himself as an elite wideout in the league and should see a hefty extension soon.

Eagles Sign Will Grier

The Philadelphia Eagles signed former Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots quarterback Will Grier to an undisclosed one-year deal on Saturday, according to sources. In the last week, the Eagles have now added Grier and former Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kenny Pickett to their QB room behind starter Jalen Hurts. Grier was originally a third-round pick by the Carolina Panthers in 2019 out of West Virginia. The 28-year-old has only made two starts in the NFL, and they came back in his rookie season in 2019 in Carolina, when he went 28-for-52 for 228 yards, no touchdowns and four interceptions. In addition to Hurts, Pickett and Grier, the Eagles also have Tanner McKee in their quarterback room. Grier and McKee figure to battle for No. 3 duties this summer.

Parris Campbell Reaches One-Year Deal With Eagles

Former New York Giants wide receiver Parris Campbell reached an agreement on an undisclosed one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, according to sources. Campbell had a career-high 623 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 63 receptions in his fourth and final year with the Indianapolis Colts in 2022 before joining the Giants in 2023. He disappointed with the G-Men, catching only 20 of 27 targets for 104 yards and no touchdowns in 12 games (three starts) last year. The 26-year-old former second-round pick by the Colts in 2019 out of Ohio State will head to Philadelphia and could start out of the slot for the Eagles in 2024 behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Still, with tight end Dallas Goedert heavily involved as a pass-catcher in this offense, Campbell will be the team's fourth receiving option, at best.

Steelers Sending Kenny Pickett To Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are acquiring quarterback Kenny Pickett from the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday in a pick swap, according to sources. It's unclear as of right now what draft picks are involved. Pickett, who opened last year as the Steelers' starting quarterback before getting hurt and losing the job to Mason Rudolph, preferred to move on after the team signed veteran QB Russell Wilson to a one-year deal this week in free agency. Pickett was likely to back up Wilson in 2024, but instead he'll be the backup for Jalen Hurts in Philadelphia with a move to the NFC. The 25-year-old former 20th overall pick out of Pitt in 2022 has looked like more of a backup in the NFL than a starter in his two years in the league, and this move certainly is a hit to his dynasty/keeper value moving forward.
