De'Von Achane Says He's Good To Go

Miami Dolphins rookie running back De'Von Achane (ribs, toe) put in a second straight day of limited practice on Thursday and said he's good to go for the Week 18 regular season finale against the Buffalo Bills in a game that will decide the winner of the AFC East. Achane picked up a rib injury in the Week 17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens but is fully expected to play this weekend and could handle lead-back duties for the Dolphins for the second straight week if Raheem Mostert (ankle, knee), who hasn't practiced this week, is unavailable again. Even if Mostert is active, Achane might be the better DFS upside play in fantasy for the price. The 22-year-old had 137 scrimmage yards and a receiving touchdown in Week 17 and is a threat to score anytime he touches the ball. Jeff Wilson Jr. would have an expanded role again, too, if Mostert can't play.

Jaylen Waddle Misses Another Day Of Practice

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (ankle) missed a second straight day of practice on Thursday. Waddle suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 16 and missed the Week 17 blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The Dolphins are claiming it's more of a minor high-ankle sprain, but Waddle is trending toward missing his second straight game and could be questionable for next week's wild-card contest as well. As of right now, fantasy managers should be planning on avoiding Waddle in DFS lineups this weekend. If he misses another game, Cedrick Wilson Jr. and tight end Durham Smythe should continue to benefit in a big divisional clash in Week 18 against the Buffalo Bills in Miami. Tyreek Hill (ankle) remains on the injury report but is fully expected to play and should be very busy as one of the safest high-priced DFS plays out there at the position.

Raheem Mostert Not Seen At Practice Thursday

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (ankle, knee) wasn't seen at the period of practice open to the media on Thursday. If Mostert picks up a DNP on Thursday, it will be his second straight day of missed practice after he missed his first game of the year in the Week 17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The 31-year-old is probably going to have to practice in some fashion on Friday to have a chance to play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Buffalo Bills that will decide the winner of the AFC East. Even if Mostert is cleared to play, he'll be in danger of seeing a smaller workload if he's not at 100 percent. When healthy this season, Mostert has been amazing for his fantasy managers with 21 total touchdowns in a career year. Rookie De'Von Achane and Jeff Wilson Jr. will benefit against Buffalo if Mostert misses a second straight game.

Tyreek Hill Not At Thursday's Practice

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (ankle, personal) was not present at practice on Thursday. Hill was listed as limited for the first practice of the week on Wednesday. As long as the Cheetah returns to practice on Friday, he should be ready to play on Sunday night in a big divisional clash against the visiting Buffalo Bills in which the winner will take the AFC East title. The 29-year-old speedster somewhat disappointed with Jaylen Waddle (ankle) sitting out in last week's blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens, as he had six receptions for 76 yards on 12 targets. Even if Waddle is able to return in Week 18, Hill should be heavily targeted yet again and will be a must-start for fantasy managers still competing for a championship.

De'Von Achane Still Managing Multiple Injuries

Miami Dolphins rookie running back De'Von Achane (ribs, toe) continues to manage multiple injuries and was limited in Wednesday's practice. Achane is dealing with a new rib issue while playing through a toe injury in recent weeks. The explosive rookie was Miami's backfield leader in the Week 17 blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens, carrying the ball 14 times for 107 yards while catching four of his five targets for 30 yards and a touchdown. Achane's fantasy value for the Week 18 divisional clash against the Buffalo Bills will all depend on whether Raheem Mostert (ankle, knee) is able to return. The rookie could once again be Miami's lead ball-carrier even if Mostert is available on Sunday night. In Week 4 against the Bills, Achane had eight carries for 101 yards and two touchdowns, so he'll be an upside RB2 for fantasy managers this weekend.
