Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave caught three of four targets for 14 yards during the team's 21-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The rookie actually had fewer targets than backup and fellow rookie Tucker Kraft but ended the night with more receiving yards. It brings an end to a solid rookie campaign from Musgrave. While he missed a six-game stretch at the end of the year due to a kidney laceration, the 23-year-old stepped right back into the starting role when he returned and immediately impacted the team's Wild Card win over the Dallas Cowboys. With so many mouths to feed in Green Bay, Musgrave will be tough to trust in fantasy as the lone option for any manager. However, he will remain a weekly streaming candidate off the waiver wire and carries more value in dynasty formats as a part of one of the best up-and-coming offenses in the league.
Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft caught three of six targets for nine yards and a touchdown during the team's 21-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Starting tight end Luke Musgrave was slightly more productive in the yardage department Saturday night, but Kraft had the score that put the Packers ahead 21-14 in the third quarter. That score ended up being the final one of the night for Green Bay. Kraft did an admirable job filling in for Musgrave over the back half of the regular season and proved that he will still demand some sort of target share when both are healthy. However, unless something were to happen to Musgrave, Kraft would be nothing more than a waiver wire option in daily fantasy formats and a bench stash in dynasty leagues in 2024.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson caught one of his two targets for an 11-yard gain during the team's 21-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The second-year receiver was an afterthought in the Packer's passing attack for the second week in a row and nabbed just one reception. It brings an end to a disappointing season riddled with injury for Watson, who had a good three-game stretch from Weeks 11-13 but did little else all year. Fantasy managers are going to enter the offseason questioning whether or not Watson is the unquestioned No. 1 wide receiver after a strong campaign from rookie Jayden Reed and the slew of other weapons at the Packers' disposal. The 24-year-old will not cost nearly as much as he did in drafts last year, but his value may fluctuate heading into the 2024 regular season.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Bo Melton caught his lone target for a 19-yard touchdown during the team's 21-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The 24-year-old snagged the touchdown in the early third quarter to put the Packers ahead 13-7. Melton came onto the roster over the final month of the regular season with the Packers dealing with wide receiver injuries and made an impact when he went over 100 yards receiving in Week 17 to become the first Green Bay receiver to do so in 2023. Melton then made the active roster permanently and served as a rotational option throughout the playoffs. With so many mouths to feed in Green Bay, Melton is not a player fantasy managers need to keep an eye on in the offseason. His name will pop back up as a waiver wire option if any of the starters go down with an injury.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed caught all four of his targets for a gain of 35 yards and took his lone carry for a nine-yard gain during the team's 21-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The rookie went without a catch last week but ended the Divisional Round loss tied for the most receptions on the team. Reed was one of the breakout rookie wide receivers for fantasy managers over the back half of the regular season. While he did not do a ton in the postseason, Reed will enter the 2024 regular season as one of the top Packers skill position players to target in fantasy drafts. Romeo Doubs was the most productive Green Bay receiver during the playoffs, and Christian Watson did little as he made his way back from a hamstring injury. All three of these names will likely land as late-round draft selections, with Reed having the most upside.
