San Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson (illness) won't play on Tuesday against Houston. He's under the weather, so his next chance to play will be on Friday versus the visiting Denver Nuggets. That said, Johnson has averaged 16 points during the 2023-24 campaign, down six points from last season. However, the 24-year-old is still relatively reliable for fantasy managers, and his absence should allow Malaki Branham to enter the DFS value conversation. At the same time, Julian Champagnie should see more minutes in the starting lineup.
San Antonio Spurs forward Devin Vassell (hip) will play versus the Golden State Warriors on Monday. As expected, Vassell will play after being listed as probable ahead of this game. The expectation is that he'll play his normal role after missing Saturday's contest due to a left hip contusion. Malaki Branham will head to the second unit and have a decreased role with Vassell returning. Branham is still worth holding in deep leagues considering he dropped 20 points during their last game.
San Antonio Spurs forward Devin Vassell (hip) is listed as probable ahead of Monday's game against the Golden State Warriors. Vassell appears to be back on track to play after missing Saturday's game due to a left hip contusion. Malaki Branham figures to move back to the second unit with Vassell likely returning on Monday. Despite that, Branham is still worth holding in most deep leagues. Fantasy managers should check back on Monday for a final update on Vassell.
Golden State Warriors guard Chris Paul (hand) is off the injury report for Tuesday's game against the Washington Wizards. Paul fully practiced last Wednesday and will re-enter the lineup on Tuesday following nearly two months on the shelf due to a fractured left hand. Likely facing minutes restrictions in his first matchup back, CP3 won't be a recommended DFS option, but the Wizards are giving up the most points per game (124.2) in the league.
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr says guard Chris Paul (hand) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, but the veteran guard won't play on Thursday versus the Los Angeles Lakers. Paul is nearing a return from a fractured left hand, with his next chance to suit up coming on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets. Brandin Podziemski remains worth deploying against a Lakers team giving up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing guards.
