Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Friday's game against the Houston Rockets. His return to the court was short-lived lived as he only lasted two games before ending up on the sideline again. The Blazers are shorthanded with both Jabari Walker (hip) and Deandre Ayton (hand) sidelined as well. That being said, Toumani Camara figures to play big minutes in the rotation. He's worth a look as a streaming option with the Blazers thin for Friday's game.
Portland Trail Blazers forward Jabari Walker (hip) is on the latest injury report and has been tagged as questionable with a right hip contusion. Walker is one of eight Blazers that made an appearance on the injury report and only three seem to have a chance of playing on Friday. The 21-year-old has seen some very high-minute games but also some that are like the last game where he only received 18 minutes. If he's able to play while the others listed as questionable do not, then he should have a much bigger role against the Houston Rockets. If he's unable to suit up though, Jerami Grant (questionable - hamstring) and Kris Murray should remain in the starting five and receive more minutes.
Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (hamstring) is still dealing with a sore hamstring and is considered questionable for the contest against the Houston Rockets on Friday. After missing their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Grant was able to play in their last game on Wednesday. That night, he posted 20 points, four assists, two rebounds, two steals, one block, and six turnovers while clocking 40 minutes of playing time. The issue is that there are so many injuries that if Grant can play, that means he'll likely play heavy minutes yet again. Which is great for fantasy managers, but doesn't seem so great for his health as the season progresses. If he's unable to play, Kris Murray, Matisse Thybulle, and Jabari Walker (questionable - hip) will all have to pick up the slack.
Portland Trail Blazers center Deandre Ayton (hand) is considered doubtful against the Houston Rockets on Friday while he deals with a right hand sprain. This will be the big man's fifth consecutive missed game and his 22nd overall. Ayton has been a very good rebounder this season, but his health and struggles with his new team have been part of the reason that he's registering one of his worst statistical seasons. Despite that, he should still be a starter on fantasy rosters whenever he does play, but since he's doubtful for this contest, Duop Reath should remain in the starting five. Moses Brown may also get some minutes, but his spot in the rotation isn't consistent enough to be a streamer.
Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (quadriceps) will return for Wednesday's game against OKC. The 29-year-old sustained a quad contusion during Saturday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies, limiting him to just 14 minutes before getting ruled out for the night. He wasn't available for Monday's meeting with Minnesota. However, despite carrying a questionable tag throughout Wednesday, Grant will play after only a one-game absence. The Trail Blazers need him, especially with the team down Deandre Ayton (hand), Malcolm Brogdon (elbow), Scoot Henderson (adductor), and Shaedon Sharpe (abdomen). That said, fantasy managers need to get him back in their starting lineups.
