Hawks guard Trae Young has been playing through Achilles soreness, and he was on the Injury Report for Saturday as probable as Atlanta finishes a back-to-back with a 6:00 p.m. ET tip-off against the Hornets. Young was also probable on Friday before scoring 21 points with 11 assists in 35 minutes as the Hawks knocked off the Cavs. His 12 field goal attempts were well below his season average of 16.7 per game, but he still posted his fifth straight double-double. He had 20 points and 22 assists in his previous game on Wednesday and is running the Hawks' offense extremely efficiently right now. With LaMelo Ball (calf) and Tre Mann (back) sidelined, the Hornets are short-handed in the backcourt, setting up a great matchup for Young to put together another monster stat line even if his usage remains slightly limited.
Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (Achilles) is officially available to play in Friday's NBA Cup game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The team was actually fined for holding Young out of their NBA Cup game on November 12 against the Boston Celtics, so the Achilles tendinitis may have been listed as a formality. Either way, fantasy managers can deploy the superstar point guard into their lineups regardless of league format.
Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (Achilles) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to right Achilles tendinitis. The 26-year-old could miss just his second game of the season, which would be a blow for fantasy managers given his stellar play this year. Young has been dishing out assists at an elite level, recording double-digit assists in four consecutive games. He's been a consistent presence on the court, averaging 35.9 minutes, 21.9 points, and 11.9 assists per game this season. If Young is unable to suit up, others in the Hawks' backcourt, including Kobe Bufkin, could see increased opportunities.
Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (Achilles) won't play in Tuesday's meeting with the Celtics. He's dealing with right Achilles Tendinitis, with Tuesday's absence marking his first of the 2024-25 campaign. Outside of Young's turnover woes and 33.3% shooting from behind the arc, he has played well this season, averaging 23.9 points and 11.5 assists. As such, the Hawks will need others to step up without him on the floor on Tuesday (and possibly beyond). Keaton Wallace, averaging 5.4 points this season, will likely slide into the starting lineup and draw streaming attention from fantasy managers. At the same time, Zaccharie Risacher, Jalen Johnson, and Dyson Daniels should see an uptick in scoring chances.
Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (rib) will play on Wednesday versus the Knicks. The 26-year-old was limited to only 23 minutes because of a rib injury in Monday's loss to the Boston Celtics. But he's good to go for the meeting with New York. Young has averaged 23.9 points, 11.0 assists, and 1.3 steals this season. Yet, he's logged 4.9 turnovers and shot 30.7% from behind the arc. Still, Young remains a top fantasy option, especially since his shooting woes should come to an end at some point.
