Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (finger) is questionable for Sunday's matchup versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 26-year-old had 26 points, nine boards, and six assists in Saturday's one-point win over the Milwaukee Bucks. Unfortunately, he was added to the injury report because of a left index finger sprain. With Miles Bridges (knee) and Tre Mann (back) also questionable, the Hornets may need to rely more on Brandon Miller, Cody Martin, and Grant Williams for offensive production.
Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle) won't play on Wednesday versus the Detroit Pistons. The 23-year-old is battling ankle soreness. However, after testing things during pre-game warmups, he'll suit up against a Detroit team that has won two-straight games. Ball, averaging a career-high 28.6 points with 5.7 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.4 steals, remains a must-start despite the chance of re-injury.
Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (tailbone) will play on Saturday versus Miami. The 23-year-old was questionable heading into this contest. However, he is good to go. Ball has played extremely well in Charlotte's first two games, averaging 34.0 points, 7.5 assists, 6.5 rebounds, and 50.0% shooting from deep. Ball's presence decreases the ceiling of Tre Mann. Still, Mann could be involved enough to exceed expectations with Brandon Miller (glute) sidelined.
Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (tailbone) is questionable for Saturday's matchup with the Miami Heat. The 23-year-old has been on fire this season, averaging 34.0 points, 7.5 assists, 6.5 rebounds, and 50.0% shooting from behind the arc. Unfortunately, he's in danger of missing Saturday's contest. If that happens, it would be a tough blow for Charlotte, considering Brandon Miller (glute) is sidelined for at least a week. At any rate, Miles Bridges and Tre Mann would be the favorites to pick up the slack offensively if Ball can't get on the floor against the Heat.
According to Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer, Hornets guard LaMelo Ball isn't anticipated to be traded anytime soon. The Hornets are under new ownership, and with Ball's frequent injuries over the last few seasons, his stock can't get much lower. But the 22-year-old is as good as it gets when healthy, averaging 20.0 points, 7.4 assists, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in 184 career games. As such, he'll draw attention from managers during fantasy drafts heading into the 2024-25 campaign. However, Ball's inability to remain healthy makes him a risky fantasy option.
