On Friday, the Charlotte Hornets announced that guardLaMelo Ball(calf) would not suit up against the Philadelphia 76ers due to left calf injury management. Ball sitting out is not due to a new injury. It's likely because the Hornets are in the second half of back-to-back games. In a 123-114 loss to Washington on Thursday, the 24-year-old posted 34 points and 13 assists, four rebounds and four steals in 34 minutes. Vasilije Micic will likely see more action while Ball is out.
Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (calf) is available ahead of Monday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Ball is back in the lineup following a seven-game absence due to a left calf strain. The Hornets haven't said anything about a minutes limit, but fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if Ball is limited during his first game back. Vasilije Micic will head to the bench with Ball returning, so he's safe to drop in most fantasy formats with Ball active again. Fantasy managers in season-long formats can go ahead and get Ball in their lineups on Monday.
Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (calf) is dealing with a left calf strain and has been ruled out of Friday's game against the Chicago Bulls. This will be the seventh consecutive game that he's missed after suffering the calf strain against the Miami Heat near the end of November. Since Tre Mann (back) is also sidelined, Vasilije Micic has become a starter with Josh Green while Isaiah Wong has seen some time off of the bench. Micic has been the most reliable streaming option of the three as he's averaged 12.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 2.2 threes per game across his six starts.
Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (calf) will be re-evaluated in two weeks because of a left calf strain. The 23-year-old has had an MVP-caliber season, averaging a career-high 31.3 points with 6.9 assists and 5.4 rebounds. Unfortunately, Ball will miss more time after appearing in only 58 games in the previous two seasons. With Tre Mann (back) dealing with disc irritation, Vasilije Micic, who averaged 11.8 points and 6.3 assists in 21 starts last season, is worth considering for streaming purposes. Of course, Brandon Miller should pick up a lot of the surplus scoring opportunities caused by Ball's absence, at least until Miles Bridges (knee) is back on the floor.
Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (calf) won't suit up for Friday's matchup versus the New York Knicks. The 35-year-old has been a scoring machine of late, most recently amassing 32 points in Wednesday's loss to the Miami Heat. He's currently dealing with calf soreness. Hopefully, it's nothing serious and Ball will be back on the floor for the meeting against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. With Tre Mann (back) and Miles Bridges (knee) out, Brandon Miller should see a surge in production. Vasilije Micic will remain with the first-five and is worth streaming in all fantasy formats.
