Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (ankle) won't play on Thursday against Orlando. The veteran hasn't had a quality year, averaging only 14.5 points, nearly seven points fewer than he had during the 2023-24 campaign. He'll also miss his 12th game of the season. Scoot Henderson, averaging 16.7 points and 7.3 assists in seven starts this season, will take Grant's place in the rotation, automatically enhancing his fantasy potential.
Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (ankle) is considered questionable for Thursday's action against the Orlando Magic. He injured his right ankle on Tuesday against the Milwaukee Bucks and is dealing with soreness in the ankle. Grant, who entered this season having averaged 20.8 points over the previous four campaigns, has been a huge disappointment in 2024-25. His scoring output has dropped to 14.5 points as the 30-year-old has made only 38.1 percent of his shots. Toumani Camara, who logged 40 minutes on Tuesday, appears poised to take on a significant workload again if Grant is still sidelined. At the same time, Shaedon Sharpe will likely step in as his replacement in the starting lineup.
Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (face) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. This doesn't come as much of a shock as Grant will now miss nine games in a row due to a facial contusion. Head coach Chauncey Billups has said that Grant is getting closer to a return, so maybe Grant can return this weekend. The Blazers play both Saturday and Sunday, so possibly Grant can return for one of those games. Deni Avdija (ankle) has been playing big minutes lately, but he's listed as doubtful for Thursday. That being said, Toumani Camara and Scoot Henderson are likely to see heavy minutes with the Blazers shorthanded right now.
Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (face) will continue to sit on Tuesday against Brooklyn. He has been ruled out for a seventh straight game due to a facial contusion. Deni Avdija (ankle) has started in Grant's place but is also carrying a questionable tag entering Tuesday. With Grant out, we have also seen more of Kris Murray, who has averaged 6.6 points and 3.2 rebounds in 19.8 minutes this month. Murray has not been a fantasy factor, but that could change if Avdija joins Grant on the sidelines.
Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (face) was ruled out ahead of Saturday's game against Miami, marking his seventh consecutive absence. Head coach Chauncey Billups indicated Grant is still dealing with "a lot of jaw and neck soreness." However, the team plans to "ramp him up in the next couple of days." The 30-year-old has averaged 15.0 points this season, a significant decline from the 2023-24 campaign. Still, fantasy managers will be glad to see him back in the lineup, although that may not be for another week or two. But while Grant is on the shelf, Deni Avdija, averaging 13.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals in 19 starts, could continue to surpass his usual fantasy expectations.
