Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (ankle) and guard Immanuel Quickley (quad) are both out for Tuesday's contest against the Chicago Bulls. Poeltl will remain sidelined for an 11th consecutive game with a sprained left ankle, while Quickley is missing a third straight matchup due to a right quadriceps contusion. Friday's outing against the Houston Rockets marks both of their next shots to return. With RJ Barrett (knee) also out on Tuesday, Bruce Brown and Dennis Schroder should stay in Toronto's starting five. Thaddeus Young and Jontay Porter should split minutes at center.
Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (ankle) is on the injury report as questionable ahead of Tuesday's clash with the Bulls. The Austrian big man is working his way back from a left ankle sprain, which has kept him sidelined since Jan. 7. Poeltl has missed 10 games, but he practiced on Monday and appears to be on the cusp of returning. Thaddeus Young and Jontay Porter have been picking up starts during Poeltl's absence and will disappear into fantasy obscurity once he's back.

The Toronto Raptors have officially ruled out center Jakob Poeltl (ankle) for Friday's meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers. Poeltl remains on the shelf with a sprained left ankle for the ninth consecutive outing, with his next chance to return arriving on Sunday against the Atlanta Hawks for the start of Toronto's six-game road trip. Though Jontay Porter continues to draw nominal starts at center for the Raptors, Thaddeus Young is averaging 5.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.6 steals across his past eight showings.
Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic called center Jakob Poeltl (ankle) day-to-day after the big man was a partial participant in practice on Wednesday. Poeltl still hasn't been cleared for contact and has to get his conditioning back after missing a few weeks with an ankle sprain. Sidelined for eight straight games with the injury, Poeltl's next chance to return to game action arrives on Friday when the Raptors host the Los Angeles Clippers. Toronto has dropped seven of these past eight contests without the versatile Austrian center. Jontay Porter has operated as the formal starter at the five, with Thaddeus Young and Chris Boucher forming a three-man committee approach in the middle from the bench in Poeltl's stead.
