New Orleans Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray (hand) is officially active for Wednesday's matchup versus the visiting Raptors. The 28-year-old logged 30 minutes in the opener against the Chicago Bulls. However, he fractured his hand and has been on the shelf ever since. With Brandon Ingram (calf), Jose Alvarado (hamstring), Zion Williamson (hamstring), and Trey Murphy III (knee), Murray could be in line for a solid fantasy showing, although there's a chance he plays fewer minutes than usual in his first game back in over a month.
New Orleans Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray (hand) is probable for Wednesday's game against the visiting Raptors. The 28-year-old was acquired in a trade with the Hawks during the offseason. Unfortunately, he fractured his left hand after logging 30 minutes in the opening-night win over the Chicago Bulls. Under normal circumstances, Murray might see fewer minutes in his first game in over a month. Yet, with Jose Alvarado (hamstring) out, and Jordan Hawkins (back), Brandon Ingram (calf), and Trey Murphy III (knee) questionable, the Pels may not have a choice but to give Murray all the work he can handle. Either way, Elfrid Payton, coming off a massive 14-point, 21-assist, two-steal outing in Monday's loss to the Pacers, may spend considerably less time on the floor.
New Orleans Pelicans point guard Dejounte Murray (hand) suffered a fracture in his left hand on opening night and hasn't been able to take the court since. According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, Murray "intends" to return on Wednesday when the Pelicans host the Toronto Raptors. Fantasy managers will want to stay tuned to see if there will be a heavy minute restriction, but he would still be a starter in most leagues regardless.
New Orleans Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray (hand) has been handed a doubtful designation for Monday's game against Indiana. It's likely Murray will remain out for a 17th consecutive game, but it looks like he isn't far away from returning anymore. Murray had a very unfortunate opening to the campaign when he fractured his left hand in New Orleans' first game. CJ McCollum (adductor) is also nearing a return, and the two are set to give the Pelicans a big lift. Brandon Boston Jr.'s position in the rotation will be under threat once the Pelicans backcourt is healthy.
New Orleans Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray (hand) suffered a fractured left hand in the team's season opener against the Chicago Bulls. According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the star guard underwent a successful surgery on his hand and will now miss four-to-six weeks. Murray registered 30 minutes in the first game with his new team, but will now have to wait until the end of November or the beginning of December to play again. CJ McCollum will take on more opportunities with the starting five while Jordan Hawkins and Jose Alvarado should see some more minutes until Trey Murphy III (hamstring) returns.
