Golden State Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton (back) won't play on Saturday against Houston due to inflammation in his lower back. It will be the third consecutive game he will miss. Melton has played in three games this season after he was limited to 38 contests with the 76ers last season because of a back injury. WithStephen Curry(ankle) also out Saturday, Lindy Waters and Moses Moody will likely see more action.
Golden State Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton (back) won't play on Tuesday against New Orleans. Melton was limited to 38 games with the 76ers last season because of a back injury, so his latest injury designation is concerning. Fortunately, an MRI showed "no structural damage," although his back strain will likely cost him more than a few games. With Stephen Curry (ankle) sidelined, Melton was in line to see more minutes. However, now that he's ruled out, Brandin Podziemski and Moses Moody will likely split the ball handling duties moving ahead. As far as Melton is concerned, he will be re-evaluated on Friday.
Golden State Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton (chest) is available ahead of Friday's game against the Utah Jazz. As expected, Melton will be available after being considered as probable heading into this contest. He figures to continue seeing minutes in the teens off the bench. He finished with 11 points, four assists, and three steals across 19 minutes in the opener. The Warriors have a few options at the guard spot, which is going to limit the upside to Melton. He's a possible deep league option, but can be ignored in most fantasy formats right now.
Golden State Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton (chest) makes an appearance on the official injury report on Friday. He's listed as questionable while dealing with a chest contusion on his right side. The two-way combo guard played 19 minutes off of the bench in their season opener on Wednesday and delivered 11 points, four assists, two rebounds, three steals, and one turnover. That game turned into a blowout though, so the rotation could be a bit different if the game doesn't get out of hand. If Melton can't suit up at all, Brandin Podziemski, Moses Moody, and Gary Payton II could see some more minutes.
Golden State Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton was unavailable for Tuesday's preseason clash with the Lakers due to mid-back tightness. Melton had featured in all four preseason games until Tuesday. He's knocked down threes at a good rate while being a defensive pest. Melton also stood out on Sunday versus Detroit with seven assists, showing he has the potential to be a good backup option at point guard behind Stephen Curry. The six-year veteran should also see minutes at the shooting guard spot, although there's a lot of competition, with Brandin Podziemski, Buddy Hield, and Moses Moody all wanting their piece of the cake. The Warriors have one more exhibition game to go, facing the Lakers in a rematch on Friday.
