According to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press, Miami Heat centerBam Adebayo is expected to sign a three-year contract extension worth $166 million to stay in South Beach. Adebayo has two years remaining on his current deal. However, the 26-year-old is coming off another excellent season, averaging 19.3 points and a career-high 10.4 rebounds while shooting 35.7% from behind the arc. He will go early in fantasy drafts for the upcoming season as he is one of the most dominant centers in the NBA.
According to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, the Heat are expected to offer center Bam Adebayo an extension that will keep him in South Beach for "years to come." Adebayo has two years remaining on his current deal. But the 26-year-old is coming off another potent season, averaging 19.3 points and a career-high 10.4 rebounds, so the latest update is a no-brainer. He also developed a shot from deep, ending the 2023-24 campaign by shooting 35.7% from behind the arc. Miami could go in several different directions over the summer. However, the roster will be constructed around Adebayo moving ahead, meaning the chances of Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler being moved are higher than ever. At any rate, no matter who is on the roster come training camp, Adebayo will go early in fantasy drafts heading toward the regular season.
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo had a team-high 23 points in Wednesday's loss to Boston. He added six assists, five rebounds, and two blocks. Although Miami's year is finished, Adebayo can hold his head high. While he regressed slightly in some statistical categories during the regular season, he improved in others, especially with his career-high 35.7% shooting from behind the arc. The Heat will need to make adjustments to the roster this offseason if the club hopes to make another deep postseason run. Yet, Adebayo will remain one of the team's top producers on both ends of the floor regardless of any potential changes, so he'll likely be a top-30 fantasy option heading into the 2024-25 campaign.
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo racked up 25 points, 17 rebounds, and five assists Monday versus Boston, but his efforts weren't enough as a 102-88 loss sent Erik Spoelstra's team to the brink of elimination. Adebayo did the damage with 11-for-22 shooting. The Heat big man has gone for 20-plus points in all four games in the series, and he boasts two double-doubles, but Jimmy Butler (knee) is a huge loss to the team, and Miami needs to pull off something special to survive in Game 5 on Wednesday. Adebayo will enter the action averaging 22.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists for the series. Strangely, he hasn't yet registered any defensive stats this postseason.
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo logged a team-high 40 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Boston Celtics. He looked good in this one, finishing with a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double. The C's have had issues with Adebayo during this series, with the 26-year-old averaging 22.5 points and shooting 61.3% from the field. With that in mind, the C's will likely adjust heading into Game 3 on Saturday, so everyone on the Heat roster could be in for a long night.
