Denver Nuggets point guard Reggie Jackson (calf) has been listed as probable for Thursday's marquee matchup against the Warriors. The veteran is dealing with tightness in his left calf, but Jackson has been pushing through the issue lately and should also be good to go on Thursday. Jackson has done well in a reserve role in Denver, posting 12.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 4.4 assists. However, Thursday's matchup is a tricky spot for him, as Golden State has allowed the second-fewest points in the league to opposing benches this season. Jackson was limited to only two points in the last head-to-head meeting on Christmas Day.
Miami Heat forward Caleb Martin (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. This was expected considering Martin was listed as doubtful for this game due to a right ankle sprain. The Heat are going to be shorthanded with Jimmy Butler and Haywood Highsmith also sidelined. That means, Duncan Robinson, Jaime Jaquez Jr., and Jamal Cain should all see significant roles in the rotation. Between the three, Robinson has the highest upside due to his ability to shoot from beyond the arc.
Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse says there won't be any minute restrictions for center Joel Embiid (ankle) in his return to Tuesday's lineup versus the Chicago Bulls. The Sixers went 2-2 during Embiid's four-game absence due to a sprained right ankle, and they'll get a full dose of the NBA's leading scorer if needed against this undermanned Bulls team. Embiid is right back in the MVP conversation after taking home the 2022-23 award. In his last nine games before going down, Embiid was recording an incredible 40.2 points (60.6% shooting from the field), 12.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.2 triples, and 3.5 combined steals plus blocks per contest. Paul Reed will revert back to Philly's bench on Tuesday after being a serviceable fantasy streamer, and he can also be returned to waiver wires for the time being.
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (ankle) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Tuesday's game against the Chicago Bulls. The superstar big man has missed each of the last four games due to a right ankle sprain. Luckily, it appears the reigning MVP is ready to get back on the court. There is no word on whether or not Embiid is going to be limited during his first game back. Regardless, fantasy managers in season-long formats can feel comfortable getting Embiid back in their lineups. His return should shift Paul Reed back to the bench where he'll have less streaming value.
Miami Heat forward Caleb Martin (ankle) remains out for Monday's battle with the Los Angeles Clippers. The 28-year-old has averaged a career-high 11.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals this season. Unfortunately, he's battled various injuries, so his time on the floor has been limited during the 2023-24 campaign. The Heat could have certainly used him versus a high-powered Clippers' offense. Martin could have also benefited from a production standpoint, considering Jimmy Butler (foot) is out. However, Miami still has Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, with both men expected to be the primary offensive options on Monday night.
