New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (foot) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers. A left foot contusion jeopardizes Williamson's status on the second night of New Orleans' back-to-back, but it's worth noting the former No. 1 overall pick only played 29 minutes in Tuesday's rout of the New York Knicks. With Williamson and a bevy of Pelicans starters iffy, Naji Marshall and Larry Nance Jr. could be in for amplified roles against the Pacers, who carry the fifth-worst defensive efficiency rating (116.6) in basketball.
New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers. After spraining his left ankle in Friday's loss to the Miami Heat, McCollum has missed New Orleans' past two contests but has been practicing. Should the star combo guard remain sidelined on Wednesday, Trey Murphy III (calf) would stick in the Pelicans starting five if active, while Zion Williamson (foot) would operate as the offense initiator if he is available against an Indiana squad that's surrendering the second-most points per game (122.1) in the league.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers. Ingram sprained his right ankle early in Tuesday's win over the New York Knicks but was able to return to the contest, so he's not dealing with a significant setback. If the 26-year-old star forward is unable to give it a go on the second leg of New Orleans' back-to-back, Trey Murphy III would continue functioning as a Pelicans starter as a chalky DFS play against a shoddy Pacers defense yielding the worst opponent field-goal percentage (50.5%) in the NBA.
New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum (ankle) remains out on Tuesday versus the New York Knicks. The former Trail Blazer tweaked his ankle on Friday night against the Miami Heat and was sidelined for Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bulls. He has practiced, which is good news, and he's day-to-day, meaning there's a chance he could return on Wednesday versus Indiana. Nonetheless, Zion Williamson (foot) and Brandon Ingram should always be in fantasy lineups, although both men could see a significant uptick in production. At the same time, Trey Murphy III and Herb Jones should also benefit without McCollum on the floor.
According to New Orleans Pelicans head coach Willie Green, forward Zion Williamson (foot) will play on Tuesday versus the New York Knicks. The 23-year-old made another appearance on the injury report because of a nagging foot issue. However, he's good to go. Williamson won't have to deal with Isaiah Hartenstein (Achilles), which will certainly brighten his fantasy outlook. CJ McCollum (ankle) is also out, meaning the former Blue Devil could get more scoring opportunities. That said, with the Pels playing another game on Wednesday night, Williamson could sit that one out, so fantasy managers should plan accordingly.
