Memphis Grizzlies guard Luke Kennard (knee) isn't available for Sunday's meeting with the Indiana Pacers. The 27-year-old missed Wednesday's win over the Miami Heat because of a thigh issue. But he returned against the Magic on Friday night, finishing with 15 points, six assists, and a steal while shooting 50% from behind the arc. The Grizzlies haven't had Ja Morant (shoulder) and Desmond Bane (ankle), so Kennard has been a pivotal part of the offense. However, without Kennard in the lineup, Jacob Gilyard, averaging 6.6 points, 4.4 assists, and 1.0 steals in 10 starts this season, should fill the void in the rotation. There's also a place in deep league fantasy lineups for Santi Aldama, John Konchar, and Ziaire Williams.
Memphis Grizzlies forward Santi Aldama (knee) could be sidelined on Friday as he's dealing with right knee soreness at the moment. He's officially listed as questionable ahead of their matchup against the Orlando Magic on Friday and will likely receive an updated status in the afternoon after he goes through some shootaround and warm-ups. Aldama has had a bit of knee troubles this year that have forced him to miss multiple games so far. He was ruled out of their last game on Wednesday for the same knee soreness, so it's unclear how severe the pain is right now. If he's unable to suit up, that should open up more minutes for David Roddy and GG Jackson II.
Memphis Grizzlies guard Luke Kennard (thigh) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Orlando Magic. It appears Kennard is ready to go after missing their last game due to a right thigh issue. His absence resulted in Jacob Gilyard shifting into the starting five. Gilyard scored six points with seven assists in 24 minutes of action. The return of Kennard means that Gilyard will move back to the bench where he won't have as much streaming appeal.
The Memphis Grizzlies have added guard Luke Kennard (thigh) to their injury report as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat. Memphis is downgrading Kennard's status due to soreness in his right thigh after the sharpshooter wasn't on their original report. The 27-year-old former first-rounder has been thrust into a prominent role because of a rash of injuries to the Grizzlies' backcourt, reaching double scoring figures and burying multiple three-pointers in each of his last seven games with 4.6 assists per contest over this stretch. Vince Williams Jr., John Konchar, and Jacob Gilyard would all likely experience a bump in usage if Kennard is out, but this matchup features the lowest implied point total (213.5) on Wednesday's slate.
Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Santi Aldama (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against Miami. The Spaniard couldn't finish Monday's contest against Toronto due to right knee soreness and will be kept out of the lineup Wednesday with the same issue. Xavier Tillman Sr. will likely move back into the starting unit without Aldama, while GG Jackson and David Roddy could get some extra work. Tillman Sr. has posted 7.7 points and 6.4 rebounds in 12 starts this season. He will likely have a tough time against elite defender Bam Adebayo on Wednesday.
