Memphis Grizzlies guard/forward Vince Williams Jr. (knee) will likely remain sidelined for Saturday's meeting with the Thunder, as the team considers him doubtful for the game. The 23-year-old is set to miss a fourth straight game with left patellar tendonitis. Luke Kennard, John Konchar, and Jake LaRavia have taken on larger roles during Williams Jr.'s absence and could see plenty of action again on Saturday, although Desmond Bane's (ankle) return to the lineup is about to have a major impact on the rotation.
Memphis Grizzlies point guard Scotty Pippen Jr. (shin) is questionable for Saturday's game against Oklahoma City. After being out for a month with a back problem, Pippen Jr. made his return to the lineup in Wednesday's clash with Charlotte, but he's picked up a new ailment. The 23-year-old has landed on the injury report with left shin soreness. Pippen Jr. filled the box score with nine points, four rebounds, 10 assists, one block, and two steals on Wednesday. He's done well for the Grizzlies, but the injury issues hold him back, and the return of Desmond Bane (ankle) won't be good news for him either.
Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Santi Aldama (elbow) is considered questionable for Saturday's matchup against the Thunder. After making 16 consecutive appearances, Aldama missed Wednesday's matchup against Charlotte with a sore left elbow. His absence provided a further boost to GG Jackson II's growing fantasy stock. The 19-year-old rookie led his team with 26 points against the Hornets. Saturday's game is going to be a lot more challenging, but Jackson II should continue to play a major role on the frontcourt if Aldama and Jaren Jackson Jr. (quadriceps) remain out.
Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. (quadriceps) might be out for another game on Saturday against Oklahoma City, as the team has listed him as questionable on the injury report. The NBA's reigning Defensive Player of the Year has already been unavailable for the past two games. Trey Jemison has picked up a pair of starts this week and should get another opportunity on Saturday if Jackson Jr. isn't ready to return. He's played well and is looking at a potential crush spot, as OKC has one of the lowest rebounding rates in the league.
Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane (ankle) is listed as questionable on the injury report ahead of Saturday's clash with the Thunder. It's a sign Bane could be ready to rejoin the action after missing two months with a left ankle sprain. Bane will likely be eased into action once he's back in the lineup. But Bane should play a huge role for Memphis once he's regained his rhythm, with Marcus Smart (finger) remaining on the shelf and Ja Morant (shoulder) done for the year.
