Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam (back) has been added to the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Siakam is an extremely late addition to the injury report due to back spasms. This is odd timing given the recent trade rumors surrounding the star forward. Nonetheless, Chris Boucher figures to move into the starting five if Siakam is unable to play. He'd be worth a look as a possible streaming option if given extended playing time. Fantasy managers will have to check back for another update closer to tip-off.
An MRI on Tuesday on Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) revealed a Grade 1 left hamstring strain, and he is expected to be re-evaluated in approximately two weeks. There is relief that Haliburton avoided a serious injury, however, after he slipped on the floor during Monday's game versus the Boston Celtics and had to be carried off the court by his teammates. The 23-year-old rising superstar goes down with an NBA-high 12.5 assists per game to go with averages of 23.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 three-pointers and 1.1 steals in 33.4 minutes across 34 games. T.J. McConnell is rightfully Tuesday's highest-added fantasy player in Yahoo leagues, having averaged 14.3 points, 8.2 assists, 4.5 boards, and 1.6 swipes in 20 games without Haliburton in 2022-23. Bruce Brown and Andrew Nembhard should also spend more time with the ball in their hands while Haliburton is sidelined.
Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) won't return to Monday's game against the Boston Celtics. The star guard played only 13 minutes before exiting the contest. Haliburton slipped while driving to the basket and suffered a left hamstring strain. This is a massive blow to the Pacers roster as Haliburton has been one of the best players in the league. T.J. McConnell and Andrew Nembhard figure to see more playing time, assuming Haliburton misses time. Nembhard started during the second half of Monday's game, so he figures to be the favorite to replace Haliburton in the starting five.
Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton (groin, hamstring) was carried to the locker room during the second quarter of Monday's game against the Boston Celtics. Haliburton slipped while driving to the basket and appeared to injure his groin or hamstring. The star guard was unable to walk under his own power. The team had to carry Haliburton to the locker room where he can be further evaluated. If he misses time, T.J. McConnell and Andrew Nembhard would see bigger roles in the rotation.
Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard (back) is considered questionable for Monday's clash with the Celtics. The 23-year-old has been absent for the last three games, leaving the Pacers without one of their best defensive players. Assuming Nembhard remains on the shelf, T.J. McConnell will continue to log the backup point guard minutes behind Tyrese Haliburton. At the same time, Buddy Hield and Bennedict Mathurin also have a chance to feature more. Mathurin had the best game out of the trio on Saturday when Indiana also faced Boston, leading the team in scoring with 20 points off the bench.
