Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (ankle) seemed to dodge a serious injury as he's only expected to miss "at least a game or few games." According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, there is optimism that his absence won't be lengthy. That's a sigh of relief for the Warriors and fantasy managers everywhere. Curry hasn't been supplying the season that most expected of him this year, but he's still been one of the most consistent players on the Warriors. In the meantime, Chris Paul should see a big boost in playing time while Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski, and Andrew Wiggins will all take on some more opportunities as well.
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (ankle) was forced to exit their Thursday night game against the Chicago Bulls after seemingly spraining his ankle with 3:51 left in the fourth quarter. As he was driving to the hoop while being guarded by Alex Caruso, he planted and rolled his ankle in the paint. This was the first time the Warriors had a fully healthy roster since November after they got Andrew Wiggins back, but now it's unclear if Curry will need to miss some time. The official reports should come out soon after the team does some X-rays and an MRI, but if he does end up missing at least a game, Chris Paul should move into the starting five. Brandin Podziemski would also be an intriguing streaming option.
Philadelphia 76ers guard De'Anthony Melton (back) will be re-evaluated in two weeks. The 25-year-old has averaged a career-high 11.5 points this season. But considering the nature of his injury, there's a chance he may not play again during the 2023-24 campaign. Additionally, the 76ers' roster looks slightly different, so Melton could have a tough time being as productive as he was before he went down with the injury. With this in mind, fantasy managers can drop him from their rosters.
Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins (personal) is ready to return to action, head coach Steve Kerr confirmed on Tuesday. He'll be back from a four-game absence on Wednesday versus Milwaukee. After attending to a personal family matter, Wiggins returned to the Bay Area on Monday and was a full participant in Tuesday's practice. Kerr added that it's likely Wiggins will return in a starting role, meaning Moses Moody is heading back to the bench. Moody had a good spell in the starting unit but offers very little in a bench role fantasy-wise. Before his sudden exit from the lineup a week ago, Wiggins had started to turn his season around, averaging 15.3 points over a nine-game stretch.
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kyle Anderson (knee) will suit up on Monday versus Portland. Anderson's status for the game was initially left in limbo when he was listed on the injury report with a questionable tag, but it's now confirmed Anderson will be good to go for the second leg of a back-to-back. Returning from a two-game absence, Anderson played 14 minutes against the Clippers on Sunday. He had eight points with three rebounds, three assists, and one block. We should see the same kind of production from him on Monday against the second-worst team in the Western Conference.
