Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris (ankle) is questionable for Friday's game against the Lakers. The veteran most recently had the same injury designation before Wednesday's loss to Phoenix. Unfortunately, he wasn't available. The Sixers are trying to climb out of a Play-In spot, so they need Harris back in the lineup as soon as possible, especially since Joel Embiid (knee) is expected to miss more time. But Philly won't rush him back, either, considering he'll be needed for the team to make a deep postseason push. Nonetheless, if Harris misses his fourth consecutive game, Nicolas Batum will presumably stay in the starting lineup. However, Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre Jr. should do most of the heavy lifting on the offensive end.

Detroit Pistons forward Simone Fontecchio (toe) won't play on Friday night versus the Boston Celtics. Fontecchio will miss his third consecutive game with the toe injury still bothering him. Detroit will likely play it safe as one of the worst teams in the league, and little at stake. Fontecchio has averaged 15.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists on 49% field goal shooting and 44% three-point shooting since his minutes increased after the All-Star break. Isaiah Stewart, Stanley Umude, Taj Gibson, and Ausar Thompson also being out will lead to better fantasy potential for Tosan Evbuomwan, Evan Fournier, and Troy Brown Jr. in a difficult match-up against the top team in the league.

The 31-year-old has averaged 17.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals this season, all up from the 2022-23 campaign. But he'll miss his third-straight contest, so his next chance to suit up will be on Friday against the Lakers. At any rate, Tyrese Maxey should see a significant uptick in scoring opportunities with Harris off the floor. But guys like Nicolas Batum, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Buddy Hield should also benefit.

Detroit Pistons forward/center Isaiah Stewart (hamstring) will miss the rest of the 2023-24 regular season. He suffered a right hamstring strain on Monday versus Boston, and the team has elected to shut him down. Stewart saw action in only 46 games during his fourth NBA season, posting 10.9 points with 6.6 rebounds. His absence should allow Simone Fontecchio (toe) to take on an even larger role on the frontcourt once he's ready to play again, while Detroit has also added Chimezie Metu to the mix on a 10-day contract. The former Sun could get heavy usage straight away in Wednesday's matchup against Indiana.

Detroit Pistons forward Simone Fontecchio (toe) is ruled out for Wednesday's tilt with the Indiana Pacers. He will miss his third consecutive contest with a toe contusion. The Italian forward had been solid for the Pistons in March, averaging 15.7 points in 31.9 minutes before his injury. If the 28-year-old can return soon, he could see more minutes with Ausar Thompson (medical illness) being out for the rest of the season with a blood clot. Stanley Umude will most likely be in the starting five in Fontecchio's absence.
