Dean Wade Promoted To Starting Unit Wednesday

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Dean Wade will join the starting lineup for Wednesday's battle against Atlanta. He's taking over from Evan Mobley (ankle), who was injured on Tuesday against Boston. Wade did an admirable job as Mobley's replacement on Tuesday and had a career-high 23 points as Cleveland snapped the Celtics' 11-game winning streak with a massive fourth-quarter comeback. He added eight rebounds and a pair of steals to his line. Wade is known for everything else besides scoring, but Wednesday's outing could be fruitful for him again on the attacking front, as the Hawks sit 27th in the league with a 119.2 defensive rating. Another tweak in Cleveland's starting lineup on Wednesday sees Georges Niang come in for Sam Merrill.

Max Strus Still Sidelined Against Hawks

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Max Strus (knee) will not play in Wednesday's matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. It's unclear when Strus strained his right knee, but he'll miss consecutive games with the injury and aim to return in Friday's battle with the West-leading Minnesota Timberwolves. Isaac Okoro is already filling in for Donovan Mitchell (knee), so the sharpshooting Sam Merrill could draw his second straight spot start after playing in Cleveland's first unit during Tuesday's close victory over the Boston Celtics. In a softer matchup against the Hawks, who are allowing the third-most threes per game (14.2) this season, Merrill is worth a look in fantasy hoops for points and triples.

Evan Mobley Ruled Out Wednesday

Cleveland Cavaliers center Evan Mobley (ankle) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. After spraining his left ankle in Tuesday's narrow win over the Boston Celtics, Mobley will sit out on the second end of Cleveland's back-to-back. Friday's showdown versus the first-place Minnesota Timberwolves marks the star big man's next chance to return. In Mobley's absence, Jarrett Allen should dominate center minutes, while sixth man Caris LeVert sees more run from the Cavs bench against a Hawks team that ranks dead last in defensive efficiency rating (117.6) this season.

Evan Mobley Won't Return On Tuesday

Cleveland Cavaliers center Evan Mobley (ankle) won't return to Tuesday's game against the Boston Celtics. Mobley tweaked his ankle during the third quarter of this game and won't return. The hope is that it's a minor ankle sprain, but the team will likely do further testing following the contest. In the meantime, Dean Wade and Georges Niang should see increased playing time down the stretch of this game. Neither would be worth rostering in fantasy formats if Mobley is forced to miss more time.

Isaac Okoro Available On Tuesday

Cleveland Cavaliers guard/forward Isaac Okoro (elbow) is expected to suit up on Tuesday against Boston. He landed on the injury report prior to the game as questionable with a left elbow sprain, but sources have told Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer that Okoro will be good to go for the contest. The 23-year-old is looking at his third straight game as Donovan Mitchell's (knee) replacement in the starting unit. Okoro has averaged 11.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in a starting role this season.
