Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game in Chicago. Tatum has made recent appearances on the injury report because of right ankle impingement. While he's mostly played through it, he finally got the night off on Friday against the Pistons. In all fairness, the C's did just fine without him versus arguably the worst team in the National Basketball Association. But with Jaylen Brown (ankle), Jrue Holiday (shoulder), and Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring) sidelined versus the Bulls, Tatum could be in line for a big night from a statistical standpoint. Of course, guys like Derrick White, Sam Hauser, and Payton Pritchard should remain heavily involved, even more so if Tatum is also held off the floor.
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (ankle) won't play on Saturday against Chicago. Most had expected this would happen, considering he has been battling a right ankle issue, but was in the lineup for Friday's win over the Detroit Pistons. With Jrue Holiday (shoulder) and Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring) also sidelined, Jayson Tatum (ankle) and Derrick White could be the team's top performers. There's also a chance Al Horford (toe), Payton Pritchard, and Sam Hauser will exceed fantasy expectations.
Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser (ankle) is suiting up for Friday's game in Detroit. He recorded a career-high 30 points in Sunday's blowout win over the Washington Wizards. Unfortunately, he sprained his ankle during the game, ending his day after logging only 23 minutes. The Celtics will get him back on a night. Al Horford (toe) and Jayson Tatum (ankle) are unavailable.
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (ankle) is available for Friday's game against Detroit. He has been dealing with a right ankle injury for the last few weeks. However, the 27-year-old hasn't missed much time because of it and recently scored 21 points in 37 minutes in the narrow win over Milwaukee on Wednesday night. Despite playing the worst team in the National Basketball Association, Brown will not be resting his ankle on Friday.
Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring) will play in Friday's contest against the Pistons. He's been suffering from pain in his right hamstring. However, Friday's tilt will be the third consecutive game he's suited up in despite his injury. He didn't have a minute restriction Wednesday versus Milwaukee, but Boston could manage his workload more against Detroit, which will be the first half of back-to-back games.
