Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia launched his eleventh home run of the season in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Angels. Angels starter Patrick Sandoval had held Garcia and the Rangers in check until the sixth inning when the 31-year-old took the southpaw deep to knot the score at 1-1. It was the 2x All-Star's third home run in his last four games, but despite the power surge, he's having a rough May, slashing just .188/.216/.348 during the month. On the season, the powerful righty has a .251-11-35-24-4 line with a .337 wOBA and 117 wRC+.
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia is not in the starting lineup on Saturday afternoon against the Cincinnati Reds and right-hander Hunter Greene. It appears it's simply a day off for the slugger after the two teams played a night game on Friday when Garcia went 0-for-3 as part of a 2-1 series-opening win. The 31-year-old is enjoying a massive start to the 2024 season, hitting .290 with seven home runs, four stolen bases, and a .906 OPS across 27 games and 110 trips to the plate. While he slugged a career-high 39 home runs last season, Garcia swiped just nine bags after a 25-steal 2022 season. Fantasy managers will certainly welcome back his speed to begin this season while he continues to offer big-time power as one of the top outfielders in fantasy baseball.
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia is getting the day off on Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers in a day game following a night game. With Garcia out, rookie outfielder Wyatt Langford moves into the cleanup spot, while Ezequiel Duran is the designated hitter and is batting sixth against Tigers right-hander Casey Mize. Evan Carter is sliding over from left field to right field. Garcia has picked up right where he left off last postseason in the first 17 games of 2024, slashing .308/.370/.538 with a .908 OPS, four home runs, 15 RBI and four stolen bases in his first 73 plate appearances. He needs to be in all fantasy lineups on a daily basis when he's active. Langford has held his own so far in his first 60 MLB at-bats, but he's still searching for his first home run.
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia hit his fourth home run of the season on Friday in a 10-2 pounding of the Houston Astros. It was a three-run blast off of Astros starter Hunter Brown, who lasted just three innings. Garcia finished 2-for-4 with four RBI and a run scored. The 31-year-old is now batting .276 on the young season, with 10 RBI, six runs scored, and a stolen base through seven games. The 2x All-Star is shaping up to have another productive season at the plate after belting 39 long balls with 107 RBI in 2023. Garcia boasted a 16.1% Barrel% last season, and it's an incredible 25.0% to begin 2024.
Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia went 2-for-3 with a double, a solo home run, and a strikeout in Monday's 9-5 Cactus League loss to the Mariners. The 31-year-old got a late start to spring after suffering a moderate left oblique strain in the World Series, so seeing him flash his power is good. However, he is batting just .167 in 24 at-bats this spring. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried, as Garcia has been a higher-end fantasy option each of the last three seasons. If healthy, he should provide a middling batting average with high power upside and moderate speed upside.
