Zane Gonzalez Delivers Playoff Victory For Washington

Washington Commanders kicker Zane Gonzalez went 3-for-3 during their victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday evening. Gonzalez was also perfect (2-for-2) on extra points. His first field goal of the evening came in the second quarter from 52 yards out. In the third quarter, he would convert his second attempt of the evening from 22 yards out. Then, in the final seconds, Gonzales would convert his third field goal of the evening to snap Washington's 19-year playoff victory drought with a 37-yard field goal. Gonzalez has replaced the injured Austin Seibert (groin) and has gone perfect on all attempts over his previous four games. He will look to extend this streak during their next game in Detroit on Saturday evening.

Zach Ertz Catches Two Passes On Sunday Night

Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz brought in two of his four targets for 23 yards during their victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the wild-card round. Ertz took the backseat in this contest as Terry McLaurin and Dyami Brown did most of the damage through the air. However, Ertz's four targets tied him for the fourth-most on the team. The 34-year-old was carrying a two-game touchdown streak into Sunday's playoff game. Over the final seven games of the regular season, the veteran tight end found the back of the end zone six times and averaged 39 yards per game. Ertz will look to rebound next weekend when the Washington Commanders travel to Detroit to face the top seed in the NFC.

Olamide Zaccheaus Has Quiet Showing In Wild-Card Victory

Washington Commanders wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus had a quiet showing during their wild-card victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In this game, Zaccheaus brought in all three of his targets for just 19 yards. His three targets were the lowest among other Washington wide receivers. The 27-year-old found a role in the passing attack late in the season with Noah Brown (kidney) on the injured reserve. During the final three weeks of the season, Zaccheaus averaged a solid 68.7 yards per game and found the end zone three times but hit a skid in the wild-card game. Zaccheaus should have a good opportunity to bounce back next Saturday evening, facing a struggling Detroit secondary that has allowed the second-most PPR points to opposing wideouts this season.

Dyami Brown Shines In Wild-Card Round

Washington Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown enjoyed one of the best games of his career during their victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild-card round. Brown brought in all five of his targets for 89 yards and a score. Brown's 89 yards were tied for the most on the team, alongside Terry McLaurin. His five targets and receptions were both the second-most on the team. Brown found the back of the end zone on a ten-yard pass from Jayden Daniels in the second quarter. This was Brown's most productive outing of the season and second-highest yardage total of his career, only below the 108 yards he tallied during Week 5 of the 2022 NFL Season. Brown should once again carry sneaky flex appeal in DFS formats, facing a struggling Detroit secondary next weekend.

Terry McLaurin Scores In Wild-Card Victory

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught seven of his 10 targets for 89 yards and a touchdown during their victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His 10 targets and seven catches were the most on the team. His 89 yards tied him for the most alongside Dyami Brown. McLaurin was quarterback Jayden Daniels' go-to option all evening. McLaurin found the back of the end zone in the fourth quarter on a five-yard strike from Daniels. The 29-year-old wideout has now scored in back-to-back games and eight times over the past seven games. During this seven-game stretch, McLaurin has tallied at least 60 yards in all but one game. He should be viewed as a high-end WR1 in DFS formats while going against a struggling Detroit secondary next weekend in the Divisional Round.
