New York Jets running back Braelon Allen had a big afternoon in his team's win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 2, finding the end zone twice in the victory. Allen will look to keep it going in Week 3's Thursday night game against the New England Patriots. The Patriots are allowing the 11th-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs through two weeks but they have given up two rushing touchdowns already. Allen's workload could fluctuate from week to week as he is still the backup behind Breece Hall but he is at least on the radar as an RB3/flex option heading into Week 3.
New York Jets running back Breece Hall found the end zone for the second straight game in a Week 2 win over the Tennessee Titans. He will look to extend that streak at home against the New England Patriots in Week 3's Thursday night game. Hall will have his work cut out for him against the Pats as their defense is allowing the 11th-fewest fantasy points per game to fantasy running backs through the first two weeks of the season. They have yet to allow a running back to top 44 rushing yards against them, although they have allowed two rushing touchdowns thus far. Hall has been productive in the passing game this season with 12 catches for 91 yards and has shown a nose for the end zone thus far, making him a high-end RB1 heading into Week 3.
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 343 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception through the first two games of the season but has yet to throw for more than 176 passing yards in a contest. He will look to change that at home against the New England Patriots in Week 3's Thursday night game. The Patriots have been tough against opposing quarterbacks through two games, having allowed just one passing touchdown thus far. That being said, Rodgers is a talented enough quarterback to overcome difficult matchups but he still settles in as a mid-range QB2 heading into Week 3.
New York Jets running back Breece Hall (quadriceps) is dealing with a quadriceps issue on a short turnaround in Week 3 with a contest this Thursday night against the division-rival New England Patriots. The good news for fantasy managers is that Hall was listed as a full practice participant on Monday, so as long as he doesn't suffer some sort of setback the next two days, he should be available as the team's lead RB on Thursday evening. The 23-year-old high-end RB1 in fantasy has delivered the first two weeks with 30 carries for 116 yards and a touchdown on the ground while adding 12 catches (14 targets) for 91 yards and another score through the air. Rookie backup Braelon Allen took some attention away with two TDs on nine touches in the Week 2 win over the Titans, but Hall remains New York's bell-cow back and should be in all starting lineups this Thursday night against the surprising Pats.
New York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein made his lone field-goal try and added three extra points in a 24-17 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 2. Zuerlein drilled a 33-yard try in the third quarter, his first field-goal attempt through the first two games of the season. It has been slow going thus far but the veteran kicker should start to see field-goal chances more frequently as the New York offense comes together. He will have a short turnaround as the Jets play the New England Patriots in Week 3's Thursday night game.
