Zach Ertz Scores First Touchdown In Washington

Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz caught four of his five targets for 40 yards and a score in their victory over the Carolina Panthers. This was the first time Ertz found the end zone in the DMV. The veteran tight end became a key part of the Washington offense once Marcus Mariota replaced Jayden Daniels (ribs). Even though Ertz was productive with Daniels, he seemed to have a strong connection with Mariota, as he finished with the third-most targets and second-most yards on the team. The 33-year-old has now tallied double-digit PPR points in back-to-back games and remains a solid low-end TE1 heading into Week 8.

Zach Ertz Remains High-Floor TE1 Facing Carolina

Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz led the Washington pass catchers in yards last weekend and should continue to be viewed as a low-end TE1. After scoring just 5.2 and 3.0 PPR points during Weeks 4 and 5, the veteran tight end got back on track in Baltimore and eclipsed double-digit points for the second time this season with 68 total yards. Ertz has been a safety valve for rookie QB Jayden Daniels but has taken the backseat on some occasions as Daniels has begun to push the ball downfield more often to his receivers. Nonetheless, given his offensive situation and matchup against the Carolina Panthers, who have allowed the 25th-most points to opposing tight ends, Ertz sets up as a high-floor TE1 option.

Zach Ertz Paces Washington Pass-Catchers In Week 6

Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz caught four of his five targets for a team-high 68 yards in their loss to the Baltimore Ravens. This was a nice bounce-back effort for the veteran tight end, as he caught just two passes last weekend. From Weeks 1-to-4, Ertz caught at least three passes. Despite the lack of upside, fantasy managers should continue to count on Ertz for a reasonable "floor" output every week, making him a low-end TE1 in deeper formats. The 33-year-old should have another productive game next weekend when the Commanders play host to the Carolina Panthers, who have a struggling secondary.
