Demario Douglas Highly Productive With New QB In Week 6

New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas caught six of nine targets for 92 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's Week 6 loss to the Houston Texans. The touchdown reception was the first of Douglas' career and came on a fourth-quarter catch-and-run thrown to him by rookie quarterback Drake Maye. While Douglas' large role within the Patriots' offense isn't necessarily anything new, it's very promising to see him lead the unit in targets, catches, and receiving yards even after the Patriots switched quarterbacks from Jacoby Brissett to Maye. Evidently, Douglas is a central piece of the Patriots' offensive game plan week in and week out. With his high-volume role and an apparent quarterback upgrade, Douglas has suddenly become a solid WR3 option in fantasy football. He's worth starting in many 12-team leagues next week versus the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

Demario Douglas An Appealing Flex Play In PPR Leagues

New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas has been peppered with targets lately, and that trend should continue when he faces the Houston Texans at home in Week 6. The 23-year-old receiver has nine targets in two of his last three games, and he's averaging seven targets per game over the last three weeks. His production has been solid while catching passes from Jacoby Brissett, and he figures to get a boost with Drake Maye taking over as the Patriots' starting quarterback this Sunday. While wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk has started to emerge as the top wide receiver in New England, Douglas remains a high-volume pass-catcher with significant appeal in PPR leagues. He remains a WR3/FLEX play in leagues with at least 14 teams.

Demario Douglas Peppered With Nine Targets In Week 5

New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas caught six of nine targets for 59 yards during Sunday's Week 5 loss to the Miami Dolphins. The 23-year-old played two-thirds of the team's offensive snaps, which was his second-highest mark of the season. It's been an inconsistent start to the year for Douglas, who has two games with nine targets and three games with three or fewer targets. He's difficult to trust given the Patriots' subpar offense, but managers have to be at least somewhat optimistic about his rest-of-season value given his short-yardage role on a team that will spend most of this season playing from behind. Even with Kendrick Bourne returning to the mix and Ja'Lynn Polk taking on an enormous role, Douglas maintains his stand-alone WR3/FLEX value in deeper fantasy football leagues.
