Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan said on Monday that wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (leg) didn't finish Sunday's Week 7 blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills because he was dealing with lower-leg soreness. Hopkins caught his only target on the day for a loss of two yards and played only 60 percent of the offensive snaps. His injury probably isn't serious enough to keep him sidelined for Week 8 against the Detroit Lions, but don't be surprised if he's on the team's injury report this week. The 32-year-old Pro Bowler has now had just one catch in three of his six games for the Titans this year and has essentially become an afterthought in standard-sized fantasy formats with only 15 receptions for 173 yards and one touchdown in six games in his second year in Tennessee. Hopkins will continue to have limited fantasy appeal given the Titans' ugly QB situation between Will Levis (shoulder) and Mason Rudolph.

It appeared that Hopkins was pulled from the game in the second half, standing next to head coach Brian Callahan with his helmet on when the offense was on the field for multiple stagnant drives. It was a strange situation that reeked of a possible benching to save Hopkins' trade value, but no official reports have been made on that matter. This marked the first time in three weeks Hopkins did not lead the Titans in targets and yards, but either way he is unplayable in fantasy until proven otherwise, or until he is traded to a new team.

The Titans passing attack reached a new low point this past weekend, as quarterback Will Levis threw for only 95 yards against a bottom-three pass defense. Hopkins was able to account for over 50% of Levis' passing yards which is somewhat promising for Hopkins managers, but with how out-of-sync this offense has looked to start the year it is not advisable to play any Titans pass-catcher in Week 7. The only silver lining here is that Buffalo may go up early which would force the Titans to throw the ball, leading to more opportunities for Hopkins. Even with game script potentially favoring the former All-Pro, he is still a high-risk, low reward start in Week 7.
