Mason Rudolph Not Locked In As Rest-Of-Season Starter

Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan confirmed Mason Rudolph will start at quarterback against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16, but he is not naming him the starter for the rest of the season and will take it week by week. The veteran and former Pittsburgh Steelers backup is set to take over for Will Levis after another turnover-heavy game from the 2023 second-round pick out of Kentucky. Although the Colts have allowed the 12th-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, Rudolph is not worth rolling the dice on in the fantasy football playoffs. However, he has a small shot at upside for those counting on him in two-QB and Superflex leagues. If he posts a disastrous performance in Week 16, the Titans could go back to Levis in Week 17.

Tony Pollard Missing Wednesday's Practice

Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard (ankle) is not practicing on Wednesday ahead of the Week 16 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts. The veteran did not practice at all last week due to an ankle injury and still played against the Cincinnati Bengals, so fantasy managers will likely have to wait until Sunday to truly know if he's at risk of missing the AFC South matchup. However, Tennessee might opt to get Tyjae Spears more touches after he scored two touchdowns and posted 92 total yards last weekend. The Colts have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to running backs, so this is a backfield worth monitoring for the rest of the week.

Will Levis Likely Being Benched

The Tennessee Titans are planning to make a switch at quarterback for the Week 16 contest against the division-rival Indianapolis Colts, with Mason Rudolph taking over for second-year signal-caller Will Levis, according to a source. Levis threw three interceptions and lost a fumble in the Week 15 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and was benched in favor of Mason Rudolph after going 8-for-12 for 89 yards. The 25-year-old has mostly struggled in 2024 and has also missed several games due to injury. In his 11 starts, Levis completed 63.7% of his pass attempts for 1,916 yards, 12 touchdowns, 12 interceptions (league-high four pick-sixes) and five lost fumbles while being sacked 40 times. While his completion percentage improved slightly over last year, Levis' overall touch and decision-making skills need more improvement. It's a bad sign for his future with the franchise that he's being benched with three weeks left in the regular season.

Mason Rudolph Expected To Start In Week 16

The Tennessee Titans are expected to start Mason Rudolph at quarterback against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. This means 2023 second-round pick Will Levis is headed to the bench. Levis has committed 14 turnovers in just 11 games this season and has thrown for just 12 touchdowns. Rudolph has played in five games for Tennessee this year, completing 63% of his passes for 1,015 yards, six touchdowns, and five interceptions. The quarterback change does not dramatically affect the fantasy football outlooks for Tennessee's offensive weapons, but the offense could sustain more drives with the veteran under center.

Will Levis Benched, Replaced By Mason Rudolph

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis has been benched and replaced by Mason Rudolph during the third quarter of Sunday's Week 15 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The second-year quarterback led two touchdown drives early in the contest, but then the Titans turned the football over four times. At the time of his departure, Levis had completed eight of 12 passes for 89 yards, zero touchdowns, and three interceptions. Rudolph saw a little bit of action when Levis was injured earlier in the year, compiling a 59.4 percent completion rate, five total touchdowns, and five turnovers. Fantasy managers should stay tuned to see if Levis returns to the starting role next Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, or if Rudolph wins the competition.
