Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan said that kicker Nick Folk (abdomen) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's contest versus the division-rival Indianapolis Colts in Week 16. For insurance in case he can't go, the team plans to bring up Brayden Narveson from the practice squad to the active 53-man roster for the weekend. The 40-year-old veteran has been basically automatic this year for a lackluster Titans offense, but he apparently came out of the Week 15 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals with an injury and may not be able to kick in Week 16. Folk has made 21 of his 22 field-goal tries in 2024 and has been successful on all 25 of his extra-point tries as well. However, because of his injury and in an offense that will start Mason Rudolph at quarterback this weekend, fantasy managers will want to avoid Folk.UPDATE: Folk is officially questionable for Week 16.
According to Turron Davenport of ESPN, wide receivers Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (ankle) and Tyler Boyd (foot) both returned to practice on Friday. This is a great sign for their status heading into the weekend as both were listed as non-participants during the first two practices of the week. Fantasy managers should monitor Friday's final injury report as both wideouts may carry an injury designation into the weekend given their non-participation earlier in the week. After tallying eight touchdown in eight games during Weeks 6 through 13, Westbrook-Ikhine has brought in just three passes over his past two games. Boyd has tallied at least 35 yards in three of his past four games while operating as the clear No.3 option. If one of the wideouts were to sit out, Calvin Ridley would see a significant uptick in targets.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Boyd (foot) did not participate in practice on Thursday. The 30-year-old receiver will likely need to log a limited or full practice on Friday in order to have any chance of playing against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16. Boyd has delivered modest production through 14 games in 2024, catching 35 passes for 356 yards but failing to find the end zone. He should be left on waivers in most fantasy leagues heading into this week's divisional battle.
According to Terry McCormick of the Titans Insider, wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (ankle) did not practice for the second straight day on Thursday afternoon. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to his status during Friday's session, as he could be in danger of missing Sunday's game. After finding the end zone eight times during Weeks 6 through 13 (eight games), Westbrook has just brought in three passes over his previous two games. Last weekend, Westbrook-Ikhine caught two passes for nine yards and did not show any injury concern during the game. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status, as he would open up more opportunities for Tyler Boyd if he were to sit out. No.1 wide receiver Calvin Ridley would see the most significant target increase in his absence and could be a viable high-floor flex option facing the Indianapolis Colts.
According to Terry McCormick of the Titans Insider, running back Tony Pollard (ankle) was not seen at practice for the second straight day. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to his status on Friday, as he will likely carry an injury designation after missing the first two practice sessions of the week. Pollard has been dealing with a lingering ankle injury over the past few weeks but was forced out of last weekend's game to it and could have faced a setback. Before leaving, Pollard was able to tally 45 yards and a score. Despite dealing with numerous injuries, he has still averaged a solid 75.3 yards per game since Week 12. If Pollard were to sit out this weekend, Tyjae Spears should be viewed as a high-end RB2 facing the Indianapolis Colts, who have allowed the sixth-most PPR points to opposing RBs this season.
