Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin had a slow start to the season, but picked it up towards the end of the regular season. The veteran wideout saw 10 or more targets in three of his last five games. Godwin finished his regular season with 1,024 receiving yards, which is one yard more than his previous campaign. However, Godwin was only able to find the end zone twice through the air, which is what hurt his fantasy value. The expectation is that the Bucs are going to continue attacking through the air against the shaky Philadelphia Eagles secondary on Monday. The lack of scoring makes Godwin less of an appealing DFS option, but he should still stay involved in the passing game.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White has taken a major step forward during his second season. The 25-year-old rushed for 990 yards, which is double the yardage from his rookie campaign. Also, White found the end zone on the ground six times compared to his one score from last season. The Bucs have made White a focal point on offense with 20 or more carries in four of his last six games. The expectation is that the Bucs will continue to pound the ball with White during Monday's Wild-Card matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. White should make for a safe option in DFS contests this weekend.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle, ribs) is dealing with multiple injuries heading into the wild-card playoff game on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles and was listed as a non-participant in Thursday's practice. Mayfield has been gutting through some injuries the past couple weeks and picked up a new one this past Sunday in the Week 18 win over the Carolina Panthers. The 28-year-old is fully expected to play on Monday night, but the Bucs are clearly giving him some extra time off heading into the playoffs. He hasn't looked very good the last two weeks following a strong stretch of play. The good news is he'll be faced with one of the best matchups for a QB during wild-card weekend, which will make him a heavy consideration as a DF sleeper at a lower cost against Philly.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton once again was an afterthought during Sunday's Week 18 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. The young tight end hauled in two of his three targets for 30 yards in the victory. Otton continues to serve as a distant third option in the passing game. In fact, Otton only has five games with more than three receptions this season. He'll be a low priced DFS option for the postseason slated next weekend, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect too much from Otton.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans started out red-hot, but has slowed down over the last few weeks. The veteran wideout had trouble making much noise at all during Sunday's Week 18 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Evans hauled in three of his eight targets for 22 yards in the win. It could've been a bigger game for Evans, but quarterback Baker Mayfield missed him on an overthrow that would've been a big play. Despite the sluggish performance, Evans will still be an important part to this offense heading into the postseason.
