Green Bay Packers wide receivers Christian Watson (hamstring) and Jayden Reed (chest) were both listed as limited on the team's estimated practice report on Tuesday. Watson made his return in Sunday's wild-card victory over the Dallas Cowboys after missing the final five games of the regular season. It was an unceremonious return, as he caught just one pass for nine yards. It was better than what Reed did, though, as the impressive rookie failed to catch a pass on three targets. Both wideouts will be looking to bounce back in the Divisional Round, but it won't be easy against a stout San Francisco 49ers defense and with quarterback Jordan Love spreading the ball around to receivers Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks and tight ends Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft as well. Watson is still getting his legs back under him and could be limited again, making him extremely risky in DFS.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson caught his lone target for a nine-yard gain during the team's 48-32 win over the Dallas Cowboys. The second-year receiver had been out since Week 14 due to a hamstring injury that he suffered the week prior but made his return to action Sunday after being limited in practice all week. The Packers eased him back onto the field, and with only 21 passes thrown by Green Bay all game, there were few targets to be spread around the now-healthy receiving corps. Expect Watson to have his snap share increase next week when the Packers go on the road to take on the No. 1 seed San Francisco 49ers.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) is officially active for Sunday's playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. He had been listed as questionable after logging three consecutive limited practices. The promising young pass-catcher will return for his first game since early December. He had 28 catches for 422 yards and five touchdowns over the course of nine games during the regular season. Against Dallas, he should see significant volume alongside rookie breakout Jayden Reed.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys after logging three consecutive limited practices, will work out pregame to determine whether he can play, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Watson has been sidelined since early December, but "there is some optimism that he can go" this week, Rapoport notes. If active, Watson and Jayden Reed would operate as the Packers' top wide receivers. In such a scenario, expect Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, and Bo Melton to also get involved.
Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) is questionable to face the Dallas Cowboys on the road on Sunday in the wild-card playoff contest. It looked like Watson was close to playing in Week 18 against the Chicago Bears for the first time since straining his right hamstring in Week 13, but the Packers chose to play it safe and hold him out for a fifth straight game. The 24-year-old put in more limited practices this week and is trending toward a return, but it's hard to recommend him for DFS lineups as anything more than a boom/bust player because of his extended absence. Watson is an even more risky lineup option, considering the fact that rookies Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks and Romeo Doubs (chest) will all be active against Dallas.
