Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) is officially active for Sunday's playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. He had been listed as questionable after logging three consecutive limited practices. The promising young pass-catcher will return for his first game since early December. He had 28 catches for 422 yards and five touchdowns over the course of nine games during the regular season. Against Dallas, he should see significant volume alongside rookie breakout Jayden Reed.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys after logging three consecutive limited practices, will work out pregame to determine whether he can play, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Watson has been sidelined since early December, but "there is some optimism that he can go" this week, Rapoport notes. If active, Watson and Jayden Reed would operate as the Packers' top wide receivers. In such a scenario, expect Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, and Bo Melton to also get involved.
Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) is questionable to face the Dallas Cowboys on the road on Sunday in the wild-card playoff contest. It looked like Watson was close to playing in Week 18 against the Chicago Bears for the first time since straining his right hamstring in Week 13, but the Packers chose to play it safe and hold him out for a fifth straight game. The 24-year-old put in more limited practices this week and is trending toward a return, but it's hard to recommend him for DFS lineups as anything more than a boom/bust player because of his extended absence. Watson is an even more risky lineup option, considering the fact that rookies Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks and Romeo Doubs (chest) will all be active against Dallas.
Green Bay Packers wide receivers Romeo Doubs (chest) and Christian Watson (hamstring) were both listed as limited participants in practice for the second straight day on Thursday. After getting injured in the Week 18 win over the Chicago Bears and requiring a trip to the hospital, Doubs said he's "feeling normal" heading into Sunday's wild-card playoff contest against the Dallas Cowboys. Although Doubs and Watson could both end up playing this weekend, they are both very shaky fantasy options in DFS in a shy-away matchup against a strong Dallas secondary that plays much better at home. Watson missed his fifth game in a row in Week 18. He's trending toward a return, but choosing a player for DFS lineups that may be knocking off rust isn't exactly enticing.
Green Bay Packers wide receivers Romeo Doubs (chest) and Christian Watson (hamstring) were both limited in the team's first practice of the week on Wednesday. Doubs left Sunday's Week 18 win over the Chicago Bears with a chest injury and took a trip to the hospital. He was coughing up blood, but the Packers called him day-to-day on Monday, giving him a chance to play in Sunday's wild-card playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. Watson has missed five straight games but is trending toward a return after being close to playing in the regular season finale. Having all of his receivers healthy for the start of the postseason would be great news for quarterback Jordan Love, but it's going to be hard for fantasy managers to rely on either Watson or Doubs if they play. Rookie Jayden Reed is the highest-priced Packers wideout on DraftKings at $5,700 for wild-card weekend.
