New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (ankle) was a full participant during Thursday's practice session. That is great news after Rodgers sat out of Wednesday's session. The veteran signal-caller played through an ankle issue during last week's loss to the Buffalo Bills. The fact Rodgers is back to full practice means he should be good to go for the Week 7 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rodgers is showing his age as he has looked lackluster early in the season. He threw for a season-high 294 yards last week, but remains a QB2 for a tough matchup against the Steelers defense.
New York Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said that quarterback Aaron Rodgers (ankle) will play in Week 7 on Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, although he won't take part in the team's walkthrough practice on Wednesday. Rodgers suffered a low-ankle sprain in the Week 5 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London but didn't miss any time and played in the Monday night loss to the division-rival Buffalo Bills, throwing for a season-high 294 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. The matchup on the road against the Steelers defense isn't a great one, but Rodgers will be reuniting with All-Pro receiver Davante Adams after the Jets acquired him from the Raiders this week. It certainly raises Rodgers' fantasy ceiling the rest of the way, but fantasy managers will want to temper expectations this week for Rodgers as a low-end QB2.
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 23 of his 35 passes for 294 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in a 23-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 6's Monday night game. Rodgers wound up posting his best passing game of the season, setting a season-high in passing yards while tying his season-best with two touchdown passes. The veteran quarterback found Garrett Wilson for a five-yard touchdown in the first quarter and then found Allen Lazard for a 52-yard score on a Hail Mary at the end of the first half. It wasn't enough, however, as the Bills were able to pull out the close win. Rodgers has thrown for 1,387 yards, nine touchdowns, and five interceptions through six games. He will be a QB2 in fantasy in Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (ankle) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 6's Monday night game against the Buffalo Bills. After injuring his ankle in a Week 5 loss, Rodgers practiced on a limited basis on Thursday and Friday before getting upgraded to a full session on Saturday. He will draw a tough matchup against a Buffalo defense that is allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to the quarterback position this season. Rodgers has been a very mediocre fantasy quarterback this season and the tough matchup does not help. Treat him as a mid-range QB2 in fantasy heading into Week 6.
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (ankle) was limited in Friday's practice. He was also limited on Thursday because of a sprained ankle suffered during the loss to the Minnesota Vikings. However, barring a setback, the signal-caller should be good to go for Monday's divisional clash with the Buffalo Bills. Rodgers hasn't had the best 2024-25 campaign, throwing for 1,093 yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions while completing 61.0% of his throws. With the Jets looking for answers, the team resorted to firing Robert Saleh and naming Jeff Ulbrich as the interim head coach. But unless things change on the offensive side of the ball for New York moving ahead, Rodgers is a shaky fantasy option in any format.
