Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones (ribs) will look to bounce back in Week 12 when his team squares off against the Chicago Bears in a divisional clash. The 29-year-old had a tough go last Sunday in the Vikings' 23-13 victory over the Tennessee Titans -; putting up his worst fantasy performance thus far in 2024 (5.3 PPR points). However, Chicago presents as a solid opportunity to put the subpar outing behind him. The Bears defensive unit is affording their opponent's rushing attack 4.8 yards per carry this season and allows an average of 17.4 fantasy points per game to the running back position. With Minnesota's division rivals being staunch against the pass, they could be in store for a heavy dose of Jones. The veteran ranks as RotoBaller's PPR RB16 for Week 12.
Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones rushed for 39 yards on his 15 carries in Week 11's 23-13 victory over the Tennessee Titans. He added four yards receiving on his lone target. Tennessee's defense was as advertised, holding the 29-year-old to 2.6 yards per carry -- his least efficient outing of the season. Additionally, his receiving output was his lowest total of 2024. There are better days ahead for the eighth-year veteran, and they could come as soon as next weekend when he lines up against Minnesota's in-division rivals, the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. Chicago let up 4.8 yards per rush attempt to their opponents heading into Week 11 -- the fifth-highest mark in the league -- and have been tough to beat through the air thus far. Jones will be a strong RB2 play for the contest.
Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones (ribs) has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 11 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Jones has been limited in practice this week due to a ribs issue. Despite that, Jones has been cleared to play, so he should be feeling better. Jones has seen a fairly heavy workload with 14 carries or more in each of the last four games. He'll get a tough matchup against the Titans defense, but remains a RB2 for this weekend.
Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones (ribs) was limited in Thursday's practice for the second straight day this week. Jones missed almost a quarter of action in the Week 10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars due to a rib injury, but X-rays came back negative, and he was able to return to the contest. The 29-year-old may have to deal with some pain, but all signs point to him suiting up in Week 11 on Sunday to face the Tennessee Titans on the road. If for some reason Jones was limited or out this weekend, the Vikings would likely split their backfield with Cam Akers and Ty Chandler. Jones only has two rushing touchdowns in his first year with the Vikings, but he also has rushed for 653 yards on 142 carries while catching 28 passes for 258 yards and another TD in nine games. If active this weekend, he should be locked into fantasy lineups as an RB2.
Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones (ribs) will " probably" be limited at practice on Wednesday, according to head coach Kevin O'Connell. The veteran suffered a rib injury in the Week 10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he returned to the game and could still play in Week 11. It's early in the week, so fantasy managers with Jones should monitor his status through Friday and leading up to Sunday's contest with the Tennessee Titans. Jones is the overall RB16 in half-PPR formats, averaging 13.5 fantasy points per game. If he's active, he has an RB2 outlook against a Tennessee defense that has allowed the 12th-most fantasy points per game to QBs. If he cannot go, Cam Akers will likely handle the majority of Vikings backfield touches, though Ty Chandler could also be involved.
