DeAndre Hopkins Seems Content In Tennessee

Amidst some talk about a trade and/or a contract extension, Tennessee Titans veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins sounds like he wants to stay with the Titans in 2024 and beyond. "I take it day by day. I love Tennessee. I love what Miss Amy's doing. This is the happiest I've been with any organization. I'll let that speak for itself," Hopkins said. The five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro wideout recorded the seventh 1,000-yard season of his career in 2023 in his first year in Tennessee and also recorded seven touchdowns in 17 games. The 32-year-old veteran wasn't as productive deep down the field for the Titans last year, though, and the addition of wideout Calvin Ridley is going to take valuable aerial targets away. This should be a pass-happy offense under new head coach Brian Callahan, but Hopkins' fantasy stock is down entering 2024, and managers should consider him as more of a WR3/4.

Justin Watson Injures His Foot On Wednesday

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justin Watson (foot) left training camp practice early on Wednesday with a foot injury, according to multiple reporters on the scene. The 28-year-old wideout is entering his third year with the Chiefs. He finished third on the team in 2023 with 460 yards on 27 receptions while scoring three touchdowns, and he should once again be a key offensive piece for quarterback Patrick Mahomes, especially with second-year pass-catcher Rashee Rice facing a potential lengthy suspension. With rookie first-round wideout Xavier Worthy (illness) missing his third straight practice on Wednesday, the Chiefs are a little short-handed at the position early in camp. While Watson has been reliable when on the field for KC, he can be left to the waiver wire to begin the year in most fantasy leagues.

Xavier Worthy Still Not Practicing Wednesday

Kansas City Chiefs rookie first-round wide receiver Xavier Worthy (illness) is out of training camp practice for the third straight day on Wednesday. Worthy is under the weather and should be back with the Chiefs sooner than later, but any additional time the 21-year-old misses could hurt his chances of starting his first NFL season off strong, especially since he missed a lot of the offseason program due to a hamstring injury. The 28th overall pick in April's NFL draft has a real opportunity to become fantasy relevant in 2024, especially if fellow wideout Rashee Rice opens the year serving a suspension. Speed is Worthy's biggest asset, and if he can stay healthy, he'll be worth at least a late-round flier for wideout depth in fantasy drafts this fall in KC's offense.

No Update On Possible Suspension For Rashee Rice

Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt said that there has been no discussion with the NFL regarding a possible suspension for wide receiver Rashee Rice. A potential punishment from the league is still a ways off as of right now. Everyone is expecting the 24-year-old second-year pass-catcher to open the 2024 season with a multi-game suspension following his involvement in a high-speed, multi-car crash back in April in which he was charged with aggravated assault, collision involving serious bodily injury, and collision involving injury. Rice has taken part in all offseason workouts and is present for the start of training camp. It's possible that he may avoid a suspension to open the regular season, but all expectations are that a suspension is eventually coming. With the suspension hanging over his head and after KC added Marquise Brown and rookie Xavier Worthy this offseason, Rice's fantasy stock has fallen and he's currently ranked as RotoBaller's No. 39 fantasy receiver.

Xavier Worthy Out Monday With Illness

Kansas City Chiefs rookie first-round wide receiver Xavier Worthy (illness) missed training camp practice on Monday due to an illness. Worthy should be considered day-to-day this week and shouldn't be out long before rejoining the team at camp. The 21-year-old speedy pass-catcher also missed valuable time during OTAs and minicamp due to a hamstring injury, but he was present on the field for the start of camp this weekend. Durability may be a question mark for the 5-foot-11, 165-pounder, but his speed alone as a deep threat for quarterback Patrick Mahomes will make him worthy of a late-round flier in redraft fantasy drafts this fall, especially with Rashee Rice expected to open the 2024 campaign serving a suspension. RotoBaller has Worthy ranked as the No. 48 fantasy wideout heading into his first NFL season.
