Isiah Pacheco Churns Out 165 Scrimmage Yards

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (concussion) tallied career-high rushing yardage in Sunday's 25-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, piling up 130 yards on 18 carries while bringing in all seven of his targets for 35 yards and a touchdown. Ticketed for a heavy workload in Week 17, Pacheco came roaring out of the gates for 46 rushing yards on K.C.'s first drive and topped it off with an eight-yard receiving TD. Pacheco rumbled for 37 more yards to set up a scoring drive before halftime. The Chiefs have to be pleased with the 2022 seventh-rounder's development into one of the NFL's most balanced runners, unveiling keen ball-carrier vision and elusiveness on top of his distinctive bruising rushing style, with Sunday's showing also marking career bests in catches and targets. Pacheco's Week 18 fantasy expectations against the Los Angeles Chargers will hinge largely upon his playing time after the team clinched the AFC West title on Sunday.

Rashee Rice Leads Chiefs With 127 Yards

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice enjoyed a career day in Sunday's 25-17 win over the visiting Cincinnati Bengals, racking up the most receiving yards (127) of his rookie year. Despite his fewest receptions (five) and targets (six) since Week 11, Rice paced the Chiefs in Week 17 receiving with three times the total of their next leading receiver. Fantasy managers' eyes did not deceive them when Rice came down with just his fifth deep target of the year on a 67-yard Patrick Mahomes touch pass in the third quarter for both his and K.C.'s longest play from scrimmage of the season. The 23-year-old second-round pick will have a great opportunity to cap off an extremely encouraging Year 1 with a bang and a 1,000-yard campaign under his belt in Week 18 against the Los Angeles Chargers, who he dropped a tidy 5/60/1 receiving line on back in late October.

Travis Kelce Squanders Ideal Matchup In Fantasy Finals

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce never got going in Week 17's 25-17 home victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, matching a season low with three receptions and four targets for 16 yards. They say Father Time is undefeated, and it's fair to wonder if Kelce is finally succumbing to him. After looking spry in the first half of the year, Kelce has slowed down significantly for 45 catches, 459 yards, and just one touchdown in his past nine games. The 34-year-old four-time All-Pro appeared to be set up for a huge bounce-back effort in what was the ultimate get-right spot on Sunday against a Bengals defense that's hemorrhaged the most yards and catches to tight ends entering play. Kelce hung a colossal 12/179/1 receiving line on the Los Angeles Chargers back in Week 7, but he may not receive enough snaps for any kind of encore when they meet again in Week 18 after the Chiefs clinched the division title on Sunday.

Patrick Mahomes Ends Down Fantasy Year With One Score

Week 17 was another lackluster performance for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes from a fantasy standpoint, as the superstar signal-caller completed 21-of-29 passes for 245 yards and one touchdown in the 25-17 win over the visiting Cincinnati Bengals. It was simultaneously another day of missed connections for the Chiefs until Mahomes finally hooked up with downfield threat Justin Watson for 41 yards in the third quarter to give K.C. some life. Mahomes served up a beautifully placed 67-yard deep ball for rookie Rashee Rice on the following drive. Though it was indeed another uninspiring fantasy display to wrap up an adversity-filled year, Mahomes did just enough and made plays when it mattered to lead the Chiefs to their eighth straight AFC West championship. It remains to be seen how much we'll see of the two-time MVP in Week 18's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
