Los Angeles Rams quarterback Carson Wentz got the start and produced in the team's 21-20 win against the San Francisco 49ers. Wentz completed 17 of his 24 pass attempts for 163 yards and two touchdowns through the air. He also rushed the ball an alarming 17 times for 56 yards and a touchdown on the ground. The veteran QB started in place of Matthew Stafford as a result of the team clinching a playoff berth. While Wentz will not get on the field unless Stafford suffers an injury in their playoff matchup with the Detroit Lions, he proved that he can still perform at a moderately high level.
Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt caught his lone target for a five-yard gain in a 31-14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 18. Hunt and Jerome Ford were both very lightly used as the Browns opted to rest several key players ahead of their Wild Card showdown against the Houston Texans next week. Hunt will return to his goal-line and short-yardage role for that matchup next weekend, making him a touchdown-or-bust option in playoff leagues and DFS contests.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins caught seven of his 10 targets for 46 yards and a touchdown in the Week 18 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hopkins notably earned a $500,000 bonus for reaching 75 receptions on Sunday. He also secured a $1 million bonus for reaching 1,050 receiving yards. It was a great day for the veteran, and his season will come to a close with a total of 75 catches for 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns. Assuming he's in Tennessee next year, he'll continue to operate as the clear No. 1 wide receiver -- presumably for quarterback Will Levis.
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (quadricep, shoulder) is officially active for Week 18 versus the Los Angeles Chargers. He had been listed as questionable and, as NFL Network's Ian Rapoport noted earlier, is expected to occupy an emergency role on Sunday. This means that Pacheco will likely operate as the Chiefs' No. 3 running back behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire and La'Mical Perine. Fantasy managers should bench Pacheco this week given that there's no guarantee he'll play a snap. The Chiefs have already won the AFC West and have no reason to jeopardize the health of their key starters.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle) is inactive for Week 18 versus the Los Angeles Chargers. This was widely expected given that the Chiefs have already secured an AFC West title and have no reason to jeopardize the health of their key starters. Mahomes finishes the regular season having completed 67.2 percent of his passes for 4,183 yards, 27 touchdowns, and a career-high 14 interceptions. He also rushed 75 times for 389 yards on the ground, both of which are career-highs. Blaine Gabbert will draw the start in place of Mahomes but is merely a low-end QB2 in fantasy football.
