Ravens Non-Committal On Mark Andrews' Status

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) was designated to return from Injured Reserve on Friday, January 12, but he did not suit up to face the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round on Saturday. Despite being a full participant at practice on Wednesday and Thursday, the 28-year-old was listed as questionable and was held out. Since it seems he was close to playing, the belief is that he could be back to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday. However, head coach John Harbaugh was non-committal on his status on Monday. "We'll just see how it goes," Harbaugh said. "If he's ready to play, he'll play." It sounds like DFS gamers will have to wait a little longer to see if the Pro Bowler will hit the playing field for the first time since Week 11. If he's active, he'll be firmly on the fantasy radar, and Isaiah Likely will be a downgraded DFS option.

Isaiah Likely Catches Touchdown In Playoff Win

Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely secured his first-ever postseason touchdown in the Divisional Round, finishing with two catches for 34 yards and a touchdown in the team's 34-10 victory over the Texans. With Mark Andrews (ankle) still sidelined, Likely took on the role of the team's primary tight end and continued to make significant plays in his absence. Andrews returned to practice this week, increasing the likelihood of his return for the AFC Championship game next week. The Ravens will host either the Bills or Chiefs, both ranking in the top 10 in DVOA against the pass. These teams have effectively defended tight ends throughout the season, and Likely's value would diminish in any format if Andrews makes his return.

Justice Hill Leads Baltimore Backfield In Win

Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill emerged as the leader in the Baltimore backfield during the Divisional Round, rushing 13 times for 66 yards and making two catches for 11 yards in the team's commanding 34-10 victory over the Texans. His 13 carries matched a season-high, and his 66 rushing yards marked his highest in a game all season, surpassing his previous best of 48 yards. Dealing with injuries to running backs J.K. Dobbins and later Keaton Mitchell throughout the season, Hill seized the opportunity that came his way. Baltimore is set to host the AFC title game next week against either the Chiefs or Bills, both of whom rank below average in DVOA against the run. They are both in the bottom half in points allowed to running backs this year, and the Ravens are likely to continue relying on whoever the hot hand is in their backfield.

Zay Flowers Catches Four Passes In Playoff Win

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers faced a significant challenge in Saturday's Divisional Round game, shadowed by elite talent Derek Stingley Jr. for most of the match. The rookie first-round pick ended up catching four of his five targets for 41 yards in the team's 34-10 victory over Houston. After spending one half shadowed by Stingley and another half securing the win with the run, Flowers had limited opportunities to produce. Houston, recognizing the threat posed by Flowers, made efforts to neutralize him or, at the very least, slow him down. Baltimore will face either the Bills or Chiefs next week at M&T Bank Stadium, and both teams rank in the top 10 in DVOA against the pass while being stingy against receivers. However, the game script is likely to favor Flowers, as the game is expected to stay more competitive, preventing the ability to run the clock out for an entire quarter.

Lamar Jackson Scores Four Touchdowns In Divisional Round Win

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson exhibited his MVP potential in the 2023 Divisional Round, accumulating 252 yards and four touchdowns, including 100 rushing yards in the team's 34-10 victory over the Texans. Despite initial skepticism about his postseason performance, the former MVP emphatically led the Ravens' offense down the field. Jackson's scoring on the first two drives of the second half led to a strategic shift to an ultra-run-heavy approach, tempering his passing statistics for the day. As the AFC's top seed, the impending title game will be at M&T Bank Stadium against either the Bills or Chiefs presents a challenge, with both teams ranking in the bottom 10 in points allowed to quarterbacks. Nevertheless, Jackson is anticipated to deliver robust numbers as the linchpin of the entire offense.
