Toronto Raptors guard/forward Bruce Brown (knee) is considered questionable for Friday's game against Miami. He's seen action just twice in the past five games and could be out again due to inflammation in his right knee. Javon Freeman-Liberty, Gradey Dick, and Ochai Agbaji could potentially benefit from Brown's absence on Friday. However, it's an ugly fantasy matchup for the Raptors, as Miami boasts the fifth-best defensive rating in the league and is ranked 29th in pace.
Toronto Raptors center Kelly Olynyk (rest) has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. Olynyk logged 34 minutes in Tuesday's defeat to the visiting Indiana Pacers, and he will catch a breather on the second night of Toronto's back-to-back. Look for the veteran playmaking big man to be available for Friday's game against the Miami Heat. In his absence, undrafted rookies Mouhamadou Gueye and Malik Williams should split minutes at center for the Raptors on Wednesday. Neither of the two bigs are recommended fantasy streamers against elite rim protector Nicolas Claxton (ankle), who is likely to be available for the Nets.
Toronto Raptors forward RJ Barrett (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. After playing 33 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the visiting Indiana Pacers, Barrett will get the night off on the second half of Toronto's back-to-back. The 23-year-old Canadian swingman should be able to return for Friday's contest against the Miami Heat. The short-handed 25-54 Raptors could turn to Jordan Nwora and Jalen McDaniels for additional minutes in their starting lineup on Wednesday, but it's difficult to pinpoint a clear beneficiary of Barrett's absence for DFS purposes. The sharpshooting Gary Trent Jr. (back) should lead the offense if available, averaging 21.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.8 steals, and 3.1 three-pointers over his last 14 games.
Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley won't play on Tuesday against Indiana. The 24-year-old has averaged a career-high 18.3 points in 36 games with the Raptors. But he's missed time due to injury, so he'll take the night off to rest. Without him on the floor, RJ Barrett and Gary Trent Jr. should lead the way on the scoring end. In addition, Gradey Dick (groin) and Kelly Olynyk could also see a substantial increase in fantasy production without Quickley in the mix.
Toronto Raptors guard/forward Bruce Brown (knee) has been listed as questionable for the Friday night contest against the Milwaukee Bucks due to soreness in his right knee. Brown hasn't been in a prominent role for the Raptors ever since being traded and it's likely that he finds a new home by the time next season rolls around. In the meantime, if he suits up, he'll likely continue to see around his average of 26 minutes. Brown could help in some category leagues that are still going on or could help a DFS lineup if Ochai Agbaji (hip) and Gary Trent Jr. (back) both get downgraded to out. Otherwise, Gradey Dick and Jalen McDaniels would serve as solid streaming options.
