Toronto Raptors forward Ochai Agbaji (hip) won't play on Sunday versus the 76ers. He took a hard fall during Sunday's blowout loss to the New York Knicks and didn't return after logging just five minutes. With the Raptors' lengthy injury report, Agbaji had been more involved than usual, posting double-digit scoring performances in his previous four games leading up to Friday's game. Fortunately, RJ Barrett (personal) has a chance to return after missing a few weeks. But if Barrett isn't ready for action, Gradey Dick and Gary Trent Jr. should stay the team's top contributors. At the same time, Garrett Temple, coming off a 15-point showing, may remain relevant for DFS participants.
Toronto Raptors forward Ochai Agbaji (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Thursday's game against the Phoenix Suns. It's not shocking to see Agbaji on the injury report after he was forced to exit early on Tuesday due to left knee soreness. The Raptors are already without Scottie Barnes (hand) and Bruce Brown (knee) for the time being. That absence of Agbaji would mean even more minutes for Gradey Dick and Jordan Nwora. Between the two, Dick is the player to have rostered with the Raptors banged up right now.
Toronto Raptors guard Ochai Agbaji (calf) won't return to Tuesday's game against the Pelicans. He lasted only 16 minutes, ending the night with three points. With Scottie Barnes (hand) out indefinitely, Agbaji has gotten more involved. The 23-year-old entered Tuesday night coming off a 13-point, nine-rebound effort versus the Hornets on Sunday. Hopefully, Agbaji won't miss much time. But until he's cleared to suit up, Gradey Dick may find himself in the starting lineup.
Toronto Raptors guard Ochai Agbaji has been listed as questionable to make his debut with his new team on Friday. The 23-year-old was part of the deal that sent Kira Lewis Jr., Otto Porter Jr., and a first-round pick to the Jazz in return for Kelly Olynyk. This year, Agbaji was seeing around the same minutes per game, but his usage wasn't as high as his rookie year. With the Raptors, he'll likely see a boost in minutes while he plays a bigger role off of the bench for a rebuilding squad. He probably won't crack the starting lineup over guys like RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley, but there's a void in the backcourt that he can fill. He's only a viable fantasy option in very deep leagues at the moment.
Utah Jazz center Kelly Olynyk and guard Ochai Agbaji have been traded to the Toronto Raptors for Kira Lewis Jr., Otto Porter Jr., and a first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. The draft pick will be the least favorable between the Thunder, Clippers, Rockets, and Jazz. Olynyk should slot right into the backup center role behind Jakob Poeltl while Agbaji will likely be one of the first two players off of the bench in the backcourt along with newly-acquired Spencer Dinwiddie. Olynyk could become viable in deeper leagues after he averaged around 20 minutes a night in Utah, he could very likely see some added minutes in a less crowded frontcourt. Agbaji, on the other hand, will have to see where he falls in the rotation before becoming a must-add candidate in fantasy leagues.
