Sacramento Kings guard/forward Kevin Huerter exited Monday's contest against Memphis after only two minutes due to a shoulder injury. He hurt his left shoulder as Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane fouled him when Huerter tried to finish off a fastbreak with a dunk. Huerter has struggled to perform in recent weeks, and the injury is a fresh blow for him. Keon Ellis was Huerter's replacement in the starting unit last week when he missed a game against the Lakers, and the same change could happen Wednesday versus Toronto if it's a serious injury for Huerter. Ellis is mostly known for his defensive work, and he had a whopping five blocks on Monday, but the 24-year-old also did some damage offensively against the Lakers last week with three triples and 14 points.
Sacramento Kings guard Kevin Huerter (leg) is available ahead of Saturday's game against the New York Knicks. Huerter will make his return to the court after missing the last game due to a right leg contusion. Keon Ellis figures to head back to the second unit with Huerter returning on Saturday. As a reserve player, Ellis probably won't have enough value to warrant starting in most fantasy formats.
Sacramento Kings guard/forward Kevin Huerter (leg) is considered questionable for Saturday's matchup against the Knicks. He's in danger of missing a second consecutive game with a right leg contusion. However, Huerter was a full participant in Friday's practice session, which is a good sign regarding his availability. Huerter's return will likely send Keon Ellis back to the second unit, where he will have minimal fantasy appeal. Huerter hasn't been a very good fantasy asset either as of late, posting only 6.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in March.
Sacramento Kings guard Kevin Huerter (leg) has been downgraded from questionable to out on Wednesday night and will not face the Los Angeles Lakers. The good news for the Kings is that Keegan Murray (ankle) was upgraded to active, so they won't be without all of their shooters. This will be Huerter's first missed game since early January, but he hasn't been a very reliable fantasy asset this year. His minutes have fluctuated, so his scoring output has too. While he's sidelined, Keon Ellis will likely remain in the starting lineup while Malik Monk and Davion Mitchell will see extra opportunities off of the bench. Ellis and Mitchell could serve as solid streaming options in deeper fantasy leagues.
Sacramento Kings guard Kevin Huerter has been hot from the floor recently. On Thursday, Huerter shot 11-of-17 from the floor for a season-high 31 points with two rebounds, and four assists in the loss to the Indiana Pacers. Huerter has scored 26 and 31 points in two of his last three games. He has been hitting shots at a consistent clip right now, so fantasy managers should ride the wave. Huerter played 39 minutes on Thursday and is likely to continue playing significant minutes with him scoring like this.
