Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic (neck) is listed as probable ahead of Sunday night's showdown with OKC. The Suns recently listed their official injury designations, and Nurkic is on the report because of neck spasms. Fortunately, it doesn't appear it will be enough to keep the 29-year-old off the court. However, things happen, so Bol Bol and Drew Eubanks could get more minutes if Nurkic suffers a setback before opening tip.
On Thursday, Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) is available against the Houston Rockets. The 29-year-old played in the Sun's last contest, logging 18 points, 22 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and one block in 37 minutes of play against the Los Angeles Lakers on February 25th. In his 11th NBA season, the Bosnian big man is having a solid year and should be a mainstay in all fantasy lineups when available.
Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) has been listed as probable for Thursday night's game against the Houston Rockets. The Bosnian big man was able to play in their last game as well where he registered 18 points, 22 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one block, and three turnovers across 37 minutes. Nurkic is in the middle of his third season while averaging double-digit rebounds and his second-best season in terms of assists per game with 3.8. He should remain in all fantasy lineups whenever he's active, especially given that he's in the top 90 in terms of nine-category leagues. The last time the Suns played the Rockets, Nurkic was absent and they dominated the boards, that should change with him back in the lineup.
Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic put in a dominating performance in rebounding on Sunday against the Lakers, grabbing a season-high 22 boards in a 123-113 victory. He had more rebounds than Anthony Davis and LeBron James combined (21), picking up seven of them on the offensive end alone. Following his return from a one-game absence, Nurkic logged 37 minutes, and his efforts included 18 points, seven assists, one steal, and one block. He shot 7-for-12 from the field and went 4-for-5 with his free throws. Nurkic looks set for a productive week, with back-to-back games against Houston coming up. Centers are shooting 56 percent against the Rockets and register 14.7 rebounds per 48 minutes against them.
Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) is considered doubtful on Friday as he deals with an ankle sprain that he picked up on Thursday in their game against the Dallas Mavericks. The big man played only 19 minutes in that contest and posted five points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block, and one turnover. He's been a key piece for the Suns' paint presence and on the boards this year. Since Nurkic couldn't play the full game on Thursday, Royce O'Neale stepped in and received some extra minutes while Drew Eubanks also got some time. Both of them will likely get more opportunities on Friday with O'Neale possibly getting the start if they decide to go with a smaller lineup.
