Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) logged 32 minutes in Friday's much-needed victory over the Orlando Magic. He finished with a 32-point, 13-rebound double-double, adding seven assists and a block. However, the reigning MVP took a hard fall in the second quarter, with head coach Nick Nurse reporting that he tweaked the same knee that kept him off the floor for over two months. Fortunately, Nurse indicated that Embiid didn't experience any swelling, which allowed him to return in the second half to finish the game. Of course, this is still concerning, especially with the postseason around the corner. He will be reassessed on Saturday, although there's a good chance he won't suit up for the season finale on Sunday against the Brooklyn Nets.

Embiid was seen hobbling a bit in the game, but there hasn't been any official word on a possible injury, so he should be good to go for the final couple of games. This will be Embiid's fourth appearance since he returned from a left knee injury. The reigning MVP has filled it up with 27.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 1.3 steals since his comeback despite averaging only 28.3 minutes. He's averaged over 36 points and 13 rebounds against the Pistons in 2023-24 and should feast again against a weak frontcourt.
