According to Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse, center Joel Embiid will play more in Friday's meeting with the Orlando Magic. The multi-time All-Star made his 2024-25 debut in Tuesday's game against the Knicks, finishing with 13 points off a rough 2-for-11 shooting from the field. He also logged 26 minutes, so fantasy managers may see him on the floor for at least 30 minutes on Friday night. While Embiid isn't back to MVP-caliber form, he's still a starting option in all fantasy formats, which is also true for those participating in DFS contests.
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (rest) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 2023 Most Valuable Player made his 2024-25 debut in Tuesday's loss to the New York Knicks. However, he had a rough night, scoring 13 points off 2-for-11 shooting from the field. With Andre Drummond (illness) also out, Guerschon Yabusele will presumably handle things underneath the basket and is in line to smash his fantasy expectations.
According to Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse, center Joel Embiid (knee, suspension) will play between 25-30 minutes in Tuesday's game against the New York Knicks. He hasn't played all season, so it will likely take him a few games before he logs his usual allotment of minutes. With that said, Embiid is still a must-start. However, there should still be room for Andre Drummond to remain involved enough for fantasy managers to consider him a starting option in all formats.
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee, suspension) isn't listed on the injury report, meaning he will play on Tuesday against the New York Knicks. The 30-year-old wasn't ready to suit up to begin the 2024-25 campaign. However, while ready was ready to go, he missed the last three games after he was suspended for a locker room altercation with a reporter. Of course, there's a good chance Embiid will see fewer minutes than usual in his first game of the year, so Andre Drummond may have fantasy value for at least a few more games. Yet, the same can't be said for Guerschon Yabusele, who could have a tough time getting on the floor with Embiid and Drummond in the mix.
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee, suspension) is slated to make his season debut on Tuesday versus the Knicks. Embiid has been unavailable for the start of the year because of a knee problem and began a three-game suspension on Wednesday against the Clippers. Fittingly, he will be eligible to return to the lineup against the team that ended Philadelphia's season in 2023-24. Tuesday's clash is also going to be an NBA Cup game. Embiid will likely carry a minutes restriction, and it's highly likely he won't play on Wednesday in the second leg of a back-to-back versus Cleveland, meaning fantasy managers won't get full value out of him.
