Boston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (ankle) will return from a one-game absence on Monday versus Detroit. The three-time All-Star sat out Sunday's matchup against Washington with a right ankle sprain and was initially listed as questionable for Monday before the team upgraded him to available. It's Jayson Tatum's (ankle) turn to rest on Monday, meaning we should see Brown a lot with the ball, and it's a great matchup for him to keep his recent momentum going. Brown has almost been like a different player since the All-Star break, posting 28.9 points with 40.6 percent shooting from deep.
Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (ankle) is questionable for Monday's meeting with the Detroit Pistons. Brown sat out the back end of Boston's back-to-back on March 11 and March 12 due to a sprained right ankle, and he missed the first part of their current set of two games in consecutive days during Sunday's shellacking of the Washington Wizards. With that said, the All-Star swingman should have a good shot of playing in this one. If the Celtics opt to keep Brown out against an awful Pistons team and make Jayson Tatum (ankle) available, however, the latter is averaging 28.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 3.2 threes, and 1.8 swipes over six games without the former in 2023-24 and would be one of the top fantasy plays on Monday's eight-game slate against the Association's fifth-worst defense in terms of efficiency rating (116.3).
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (ankle) won't play on Sunday against Washington. Brown is coming off a massive performance, amassing 37 points in Thursday's win over the Phoenix Suns. But he'll sit out on Sunday, marking his seventh absence of the 2023-24 campaign. Jayson Tatum (ankle), who also has a right ankle injury, is good to go and will presumably pick extra scoring chances with Brown ruled out. There's also room for Sam Hauser or Payton Pritchard to enter the starting lineup, putting them on the radar for DFS managers. The Celtics will meet Detroit on Monday, another of the NBA's worst teams. As a result, Brown may also miss that contest in preparation for Wednesday's clash with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (hip) will suit up for Thursday's matchup against Phoenix. The 27-year-old has battled multiple issues of late, including a sacroiliac strain. But his most recent ailment, a hip contusion, jeopardized his chances of playing versus the Suns. Of course, Brown should be starting in all fantasy formats. However, his availability means Sam Hauser, who had 14 points, five rebounds, two blocks, and one steal in Tuesday's win over the Utah Jazz, will head back to the bench, taking most of his fantasy upside with him.
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (hip) is questionable for Thursday's showdown with the Suns. The 27-year-old had been battling a sacroiliac strain. However, he's now bothered by a hip contusion. Brown wasn't available on Sunday in the win over the Utah Jazz. Sam Hauser got the start, as expected, and finished with 14 points, five rebounds, two blocks, and one steal. With this in mind, Hauser will remain a popular DFS value option if Brown misses another game.
