However, Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle has said that McDermott is getting close to his return, so he could be an option early next week. Obi Toppin and Jarace Walker are in a position to eat up a few more minutes without McDermott, with the former being the better fantasy option.

The 32-year-old sharpshooter is trying to recover from a right calf strain. The Pacers miss McDermott's ability to stretch the floor, but his return to Indianapolis hasn't gone well. McDermott has been limited to only 3.2 points in 11.0 minutes across six games, with his three-point percentage dropping to 20. Muscle strains usually take 2-3 weeks to heal, so it wouldn't be surprising to see McDermott miss further time.
