Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Cody Martin (ankle) will be out of action for at least a couple of more weeks. He injured his left ankle last week and will miss a second consecutive contest on Tuesday versus the Magic. The team has announced that Martin will undergo a re-evaluation in two weeks. it's sad news for the 28-year-old, as he only made his season debut on Dec. 23 after injuries already ruined his 2022-23 campaign. Vasilije Micic has taken over Martin's spot in the starting unit. The Serbian guard struggled to get opportunities in Oklahoma City but has played well with the Hornets, averaging 8.7 points and 5.6 assists in 22.9 minutes.
Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Cody Martin (ankle) is slated to miss time with an ankle injury and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, it was announced on Monday. Before he tweaked his ankle, the 28-year-old had 12 points and two blocks in 32 minutes against Philadelphia on March 1. Martin has been dropped in many fantasy leagues due to being injury-prone over the years. Players like Vasilije Micic and Grant Williams could see more action in Tuesday's game against Orlando with Martin inactive.
Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Cody Martin (ankle) isn't available for Sunday's matchup with the Toronto Raptors. The 28-year-old had 12 points and two blocks in 32 minutes in Friday's game against Philadelphia. But he tweaked his ankle in that one, so he's out on Sunday. Unfortunately, Martin has missed plenty of time over the years because of various ailments. While Martin may only sit out a few games moving ahead, he may have already been dropped in many fantasy leagues. Nonetheless, his absence could at least open the door for Vasilije Micic and Grant Williams to get more work, with both men warranting streaming consideration for all fantasy lineups.
Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Cody Martin sprained his left ankle against Philadelphia on Friday and wasn't able to finish the game. He soaked in 32 minutes of action before suffering the injury and played well. Martin was Charlotte's lone starter with a positive plus/minus in a 121-114 loss, scoring 12 points and adding four rebounds, two assists, and two blocks to his line. The Hornets also lost Seth Curry (ankle) on Friday and entered the action without Brandon Miller (back), meaning the starting lineup could look very unusual for the team if any of the injuries don't clear up in time for Sunday's contest against Toronto. "I have no idea," said head coach Steve Clifford when asked about the status of Curry and Martin following Friday's game. "... Just hopefully those two guys are Ok. We'll keep our fingers crossed and get ready to go on Sunday."
Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Cody Martin (knee) is considered probable for Wednesday's matchup against Atlanta. He missed a pair of games at the start of the month but has since then featured in four consecutive contests, playing very healthy minutes. So, Martin has been looking good health-wise lately and is expected to play versus the Hawks. The 28-year-old has averaged 10.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in 27.5 minutes across the past four games. It's a fantasy dream matchup for Martin and the Hornets on Wednesday, as two of the worst defensive teams in the league go head to head, with Atlanta also holding a top-three spot in pace.
