Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (illness) was not at Monday's morning shootaround, and he's been downgraded to questionable to play in Game 2 against the New York Knicks. After logging a game-high 33 points in 41 minutes in Saturday's Game 1 loss, Maxey is a late addition to the injury report due to an illness. If the All-Star guard doesn't suit up, Philly's offense would rely on Joel Embiid (knee) for the bulk of the scoring and playmaking. Based on his usage in the first game of this first-round series, Nicolas Batum would appear to be the most likely candidate to enter the starting lineup after leading the reserves in minutes (25) on Saturday. If head coach Nick Nurse opts to go small, however, it's worth noting Cameron Payne averaged 13.8 points, 4.3 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 2.3 three-pointers in eight regular-season games for the Sixers without Maxey.

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) is questionable for Monday's matchup with the Knicks. Embiid's presence on the injury report is nothing new. But he re-injured his surgically repaired left knee during the Game 1 loss to New York on Saturday, forcing him to exit the contest briefly. Many have called for the reigning MVP to get shut down until next season. However, Embiid dismissed the idea, so it appears he'll at least try to continue to play. With that in mind, his DFS ceiling is significantly lower for Game 2.

The reigning MVP had trouble shooting the ball, going 8-for-22 from the field and 2-for-8 from deep. But more importantly, he came down hard on his left knee after a dunk late in the second quarter and exited the contest. Fortunately, he returned to start the third quarter and finished the contest. However, Embiid should undergo more tests ahead of Game 2 on Monday night. But it's possible he won't be out there for that one, opening the door for Mo Bamba and Paul Reed to take over in the middle.

Unfortunately, he came down hard on his surgically repaired left knee and immediately fell to the court in obvious pain. There hasn't been an official update on his status. However, the team likely won't take chances with Embiid, so Paul Reed and Mo Bamba may handle things in the middle for the remainder of Game 1.

Chicago Bulls center Andre Drummond (ankle) is available for Friday's matchup with the Heat. The veteran injured his ankle toward the end of the regular season and missed some games. Yet, he was back on the floor for the win over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night. While Drummond only logged 11 minutes, he made the most of his limited workload, finishing with four points, four rebounds, three blocks, and one steal. Nonetheless, while Nikola Vucevic should absorb most of the minutes in the middle on Friday evening, Drummond has value for DFS managers on a night that features just two games across the National Basketball Association.
